I was looking at the 5100’s with 887 coils, AAL for rear if I go with 5100’s the 6112’s on the 5th and 6th notch with the 600 coils and 5260’s rear with an AAL. I’m seeing that 5100’s are available not that I’m in a rush.

I did 5100s with OME HD's in the rear and 887s up front. I was blown away at how much better they ride than stock. I went HDs cuz I've got a shell and haul a couple hundred pounds of tools usually.

I did 6112’s /5160’s and I can tell you I dig they way they are. Great on road and off. After about 3 months I feel they have softened up a bit as welll IMO. If you plan on front bumper get 650 coils. Good luck.

Done 60+mph on gravel/dirt roads with the 5100's loaded for camping and the truck just glides like a landspeeder over the Tatooine landscape of UT.
    Dobinson's leafs and OME 885s.

    Work in progress...
I ran both for 20,000 plus miles, on each. The surprising thing is how much better the 6112's are on the highway.
They are better off road and around town but on the highway they put the 5100's to shame. The Tacoma doesn't bounce around like a pogo stick. ...just my honest review.

I really like the ride of @Wixo’s truck. He has 6112’s on the highest setting with no added weight and it rides just like my factory Sport suspension. I have 6112’s on my 2nd Gen set at 2” of lift and it’s pretty stiff. Planning on the tried and true 6112-5160 (with AAL) setup for my 2021 late this year, or early 2022.

How else are you supposed to get the ladies (or dudes?) to schwing to your truck?

I know this has probably been beaten to death, but what happens if you just install a leaf in the rear and use the stock bilsteins on the TRD OR? My buddy says that it might cause the tires to wear funny (cupping?) and makes the ride much more rough. It sounds like from the research I can find, that perhaps the stock one isn't meant to be extended (or the stroke of the stock not be that far out) and that effects the ride, and how smooth it is, etc... Is this the case? (not trying to start a huge debate, as I am new to the Tacoma, but any car I have owned, whether it be raising or lowering the car, ALWAYS starts a HUGE debate).

Don't the 6112's only have height settings? Heights don't affect stiffness, just preload & available travel. Spring doesn't compress anymore on 6th notch than on 1st according to Accutune.
