Mounted up some pool noodles today

 

i mean its been rear-ended once, hit two racoons, opossum, hit one tire chunk, and some random thing that messed up my current lip its had it pretty rough lol

 

interesting color but nice also no kick out? shame!

 

ye i really want to finish the hx up and get it vinyl wrapped and a motor and trans swap but it cost money so one day!

what made you choose bright blue?

 

I knew I wanted to put some kind of bright color on it after I sanded them and repainted them, when I was at Ace hardware I saw this gorgeous looking coastal blue thing and decided to give it a shot.

Fyi, Rust-Oleum 2x Ultra Coat is crap paint. Never use it.

 

Oh, I wouldn't have called those things terribly eventful personally, except for the rear-ending. I didn't know you had been hit.

The Corolla has spent most of its life driven by women; I feel like making it to 276k under those circumstances is quite an accomplishment

 

ya the rear end incident messed up the clips and everything on the rear bumper and the little garnish things and diffuser thankfully nothing major but it was like 1300 in repairs. the raccoons messed up my intercooler mesh and broke loose the lower grill assembly i finally replaced it when it got really bad after the tire and the mystery item that hit it on the highway.

its overall great tbh its loads of fun to drive now since its lowered and with sticky tires i do need to fix that damn speedo and put in my window regulator so i can use the passenger window but ill deal with that later so far it just sits in the garage lol

 

I think the craziest thing that happened in the 03 was when we were in town apartment shopping and I came to a stop, the Tahoe/Suburban behind me came to a stop, and a Jeep liberty totally plowed into us. I have some little paint fractures in the rear bumper and @Slashaar and I got some minor whiplash but nothing terrible. I thought I was going to get out of the car to see my rear end totally crumpled in. The Tahoe and Jeep sustained more damage than I did luckily. I was tapped in the rear during an ice storm on 71, and I've been hit in the BS Walmart parking lot by an employee who didn't see me backing out next to her and gassed it right into the side of me.
The only animal I've ever hit is an opossum on Woods Chapel and the car was high enough I mostly straddled it.
On my way home a couple months ago a chunk of a like 1x1 the car in front of me on 470 hit flew and hit my windshield. Really surprised nothing happened there.

Kinda excited to get some new wheels on the 21; I'll prob go up a rim size. Needs more ground clearance. I miss how high up my 9th gen is. Looks silly, but I feel dumb having to leave my driveway at an angle at factory height xD
