How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I "should" have mine in 7-14 days. not sure if it being close makes it easier or harder LOL.

 

Where in the app did you find this information? I see the Jan 1, 01, but nothing about pre-delivery.

 

I've no idea what they normally do, but my order is a 2021, and appears to be scheduled for build in late August or early September.

 

I don’t see anything about pre delivery either

 

I'm only a week in to having my temporary VIN with 1.5 months of waiting to go, and I have to say waiting at this point is more exciting than frustrating. At the beginning of this month I was honestly feeling like I'd never get my truck. Now I'm literally having dreams at night about it in anticipation haha. I'm pretending that I'm driving manual again in my current Ford Escape just to be ready hahaha.

Although, I totally understand the pain of being days away. @JennJenn , I'm so looking forward to seeing pictures of your truck. I've been reading your posts and feeling your pain lol. I'd wager that this time next week you'll definitely have it!

Ahh yes the excitement lasted until the first arrival day came and left...now I'm waiting til the next date which is two days away. Its funny, I have been contemplating even getting this truck for 6 months to a year or longer. I talked myself in and out of it constantly.. As soon as I saw the army green I knew I had to have it but I couldn't make up my mind to let go of my indigo ink. Now that I have and cried and missed it, I'm way past ready and overtly impatient to get my new one!!! Haha.
Every time I get a text or call I'm disappointed it's not about the truck. Ohh...How childish I must be to be impatient like I'm a kid on Christmas lol.

You and I are both in idaho your southern, I'm northern. We both are waiting for army green and we have had the same delivery dates.. my delivery date got moved from 07/12 - 07/19 to 07/20 - 07/26... so I think are trucks were together at some point.... dealer called me today to tell me that my truck is on a truck and in transit and should be here anyway now.... so I think yours will be showing up soon as well.

 

I came back in to see if you got your truck yet and can't believe you're still waiting...It might be 2023 before it arrives at this rate. Hang on, it will be here before you know it.

I placed my order on June 2nd for a TRD offroad(tech package and LED headlights, no other dealer or port add ons) and was quoted 3-4 weeks for arrival. I was very skeptical at such an optimistic timeline after reading this thread.
Dealer contacted me last Monday saying the truck was being built and I should expect delivery in about 10-14 days.
I was shocked when he called and told me my truck arrived yesterday afternoon. Just 7 days from being built, based on what I was told. I went and picked it up today, and couldn’t be happier.
I honestly can’t believe how quick I got mine based on some of the times you guys are having to wait.

 

That’s insane. Good for you though.

 

My Truck was built last Tuesday. I am now waiting on shipping.

Which facility did it come from? What part of the country was it going to?

 

Some of you seem to be short on patience.
I have a Corvette C8 Z06 on order and it's going to 2-3 years before delivery. Patience pays

My first vehicle I purchased was a '98 first gen Taco. Unfortunately, I flipped it and totaled it on a snowy road in Wyoming in 2015. Thankfully I was totally fine! When it came to buying a new Tacoma, I couldn't afford what I wanted, so I opted to wait and use the insurance money to buy a functional Ford Escape. It's been a good little car, but I've definitely been dreaming of my new Tacoma for years. I actually feel like I've been waiting since 2015 for my new truck.

Let's have a moment of silence for my OG '98 Tacoma. It had 215k miles on it, and it probably would've gone 100k at least. I loved that truck so much

 

LOL, how long did it take, read a few of the answers, you lucky bastard’s. I ordered mine 11/04/2020, on 7/12/2021 I finally went to the dealer cancel the order and got my deposit back, 8 1/2 months later. On 7/13/2021 I decided let’s try this over again, went back to dealer, did not have to order thank God he had one allocated being built on 8/3/21. So hopefully it’ll be the three months on average tops. Just sucks that in that 8 1/2 months time. I lost $500 on trade-in due to extra mileage and time plus additional order was during a $1000 rebate. My guess is original was never ordered, first time in my life I ever had a non-interested lack luster sales person, especially from a number one rated dealership like the one I have previously bought three other Tacoma‘s from.

 

Just randomly drove through my dealer lot... my truck is here!!!! Checked vin to verify. I'll post more pics in a few days when I pic it up after roof rack and trd lift kit gets installed.... so excited!

It has the leather or fake leather.. whatever it is lol

 

I worry someone texting or not paying attention is going to hit my '96 1st GEN everytime I drive it. I'm sure the insurance company would immediately want to total it.
