Need some advice on tires rubbing. Driver tire is rubbing on front fender liner, right where the bolt is when I hit dips at certain angles. Trim or setup issue?

    Lift - Bilstein 5100s & AAL
    Method NV 305 - 9” width, 5” BS, 0 Offset
    285/75/16 Tires
    Stock UCA

Trim. That size tire will always rub without trimming.

You must trim. Then you must snatch these pebbles from my hand.

Any recommendations on finding the right amount to trim, especially since the rubbing point is by the bolt? New to the truck game

It varies. No recommended amount it’s trial and error. You can also try the heat gun method for the fender liner section. The bottom section (bumper) will most likely still need trimming.

Thank you, figured as much. The fender doesn’t seem to rub just the spot where the screw mounts to the bottom of the bumper.

My first try was 2” BORA hub-centric spacers. Awesome look, and got the tires off my UCAs, but still rubbed.

My second try was a cab mount chop. Better turning radius, but still rubbed

Then I took a look at my lower bumper cover and fender liners and saw signs of rubbing. I trimmed mine just by finding what was rubbed clean, then cutting it away. Took a few iterations, but now I’m good.

Extend those short caster angles. Probably will need aftermarket UCAs

I only went to 265/70R17. I had to remove the mud flaps, adjust the alignment, and trim the front fender. You have an extra 1" to deal with.

If it’s rubbing on ones side and not the other it’s your alignment. Numbers are meaningless. What are your cam bolts set at?
