IMG_20210718_155907.jpgjust did mine a few weeks ago... Yes some bending helps but being willing to cut is way faster. Order a new pair of UCA bolts and have a new sawall blade and it's really not bad..btw I did mine under a 10' x 10' pop up tent as my garage was not available. Oh, don't forget you need grease. Took me an hour to find.
As far as shop recommendations, sorry I got nothing but hate for all the shops my way. Even the place I get my inspection done I wouldn't trust to top off the washer fluid. At least when you break it yourself you can own it, know about it and trust it was fixed.
@Fritzx6 , where are you located? I'm in n. Chelmsford.

Definitely is. Being a 4x4 you might have the room to get under it and reach. I was limited being so low to the ground as a 2WD plus original suspension

I think the front bushing is tucked away in such a way that you can’t get it off without bending or cutting the fender that’s in the way. Or, since it’s a shop and they have to do it by the books probably a complete removal of the fender and other stuff.

I can't recommend the shop, but I do know from past experience that they are supposed to jack up the front end and check the ball joints when they do the inspection. Now that Massachusetts is video recording inspections and storing that back at the registry of motor vehicles I expect that shops are following the letter of the law exactly.

It's kind of silly how they do it in MA, including needing an emissions inspection on new trucks.

I remember having had the front end checked as far back as 1991-2. Not every time but more than once.

And this. No shop is going to risk not doing it fully..they record and have a headset to instruct the inspector to do something if they choose.

I failed last time for no middle seatbelt, despite it saying on the title it's a 2 person vehicle and already has left/right belts. The inspector apologized but told me he has to fail it if it's even a slightly grey area.

Yeah it would be a nice fringe benefit but I doubt I’ll be relocating just to bypass inspections. But yeah they’re dumb

If you get desperate, I have a Cement 2019 DCSB. If you're filming at the original DD store, I know where that is. ;)

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    That's cool.

Question, why does Dunkin Donuts need to have such a specific vehicle in it?

I get safety inspections to a point.
But, we have gotten way out of hand.
I'm convinced it it due to excise tax.
They tax based on a dollar value of the vehicle.
Only way to keep taxes up in that case, is to make sure people keep buying new/newer.
And of course, this brine we put down on the roads, helps to accelerate the process.
Getting REAL tired of the stupidity for MC inspections. Reflectors? Really?
This state is way out of control,.. I'm going to stop before I carry on forever....

I agree with the motorcycle inspections, they suck (I also may or may not have had one in a few years...). In NY, the inspection sticker is placed high on the fork so, with a full fairing sport bike, you could never even tell if the sticker was there. VA didn't have them at all and now MA puts them on the plate. I haven't been hassled yet with the dirt bike, but there aren't a lot of places around that do them so it sucks up a good portion of a Saturday for me to get them done. I've gone down a few times, saw the line and just kept on riding.

Funny, when I was stationed in VA, 03-06, we had inspection stickers. Went on the fork tube, left side.
But, it was like Texas... safety. Headlight, stop/tail, brake pads, tires>good.
I don't have one on my RK yet, but, that is the main rider, it needs one. They won't even look at my Buell...
If I could afford to walk away from the state... I would.
