What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have ditch lights. I use em once a year. I look at my grill every day and am happy I switched it out. My $.02. Yes, my truck is mostly a pavement princess

 

I also waited way to long to upgrade the grill and kick myself for not doing it sooner

Used it as a truck yesterday


So the DFW area Snowmageddon we had took out the 42 year old Ash tree in front of our house as it never came back. Then sucker branches started spouting all over it with the majority at the bottom on the street side. Code says the trees must be trimmed to no lower than 13' for the Fire Trucks to pass under them. Had to stand on toolbox in the truck to reach some higher limbs but it got trimmed. $1250 to remove the dead tree now or wait until Fall for a much better price. We can wait.....Code is OK for the moment.

I bought the cover to keep the weather out when I carry my work equipment and to prevent theft. I always strapped everything down to prevent it from sliding around.

Sometimes stuff would slide to the back of the bed and with the bed cover it gets really annoying to half climb in to reach that stuff.

Since I put the mat in my equipment doesn’t slide anywhere. It was well worth the money.

 

Threw on some 2x3 caps to plug up the front cross member opening. $8.00 for a four pack on Amazon.

If I could find a raw midbass in 6x9 by them that fit my price point, I would add them to the chart. However, I ended up buying the Audiofrogs.

 

There’s still one on eBay as of right now, they might have it locked out for USA though, it might be Canada only.

 

Replaced my 285/75/R16 BFG KO2s with 305/70/R16 BFG KM3s.

I purchased the four pack because I was unsure how the fitment was going to be. I thought I might loose one down the road.
But these are very snug (like hit in with a dead-blow snug). I don't see them coming out anytime soon.

Is there any reason not to use these other than saving $10?

 

I have both. The mat keeps stuff from sliding around like it’s on ice and the cover looks good, keeps stuff pretty dry, and hides what’s in there. Get the mat first though.

 

In my limited wisdom, I can't think of any cons to doing this. Ask me again in one year...
