There was some Subaru forum (Outback I think) that I joined for a few months while we were rebuilding the Forester. I remember seeing an LGBTQ chat thread. Ha!

REI has a 10 speed Cannondale that would be a big upgrade.

I'm currently using this bike for both trails and cardio... I need an XL though and I don't really want to replace it with 2 new bikes

The transmission pan "temp fix" was installed last night. A local machine shop plugged the drain hole and welded it shut. I'm just waiting for the FIPG to cure before filling this afternoon. Now I'll be able to depart for CO on schedule.

In comparing the transmission shape and position of the drain plug compared to where the dipstick hole enters the pan, I think I can remove more fluid by using my MityVac fluid extractor than by using the drain plug.

I will install a new pan some weekend in the fall when the weather is cooler and less yard work to do.

Now I need to stop f-ing with the truck and get it loaded for the trip. Though I need to install the Owl Expedition fire extinguisher holder.

The transmission pan ordeal took up the time I planned to install the Owl Expedition mud flaps before the trip. Bummer.

I really like that rear bumper design.

That's a Dissent from Ben Calhoun. It might be aluminum. Most all of Ben's products are lightweight. I like the integrated receiver hitch and electrical plug. That's definitely a "top shelf" bumper. I would be a happier camper with it than the one I bought. I remember a long wait when I was looking for bumpers that kept me from ordering it. Someday I may get to replace mine.

The current rear bumper was the only regret purchase in that build. Next big purchase to be a rear eLocker. I would like to get that sorted out before the winter rains turn the trails into mud slides.

Coming from trucks I find the rear body overhang of an LC or 4Runner to be a massive detriment so any bumper that helps get it out of the way is a nice touch. Hard to do with tailgates and such though. 4x4labs ones for my series are my absolute fav, if I wheeled my LC I'd have one. As it is I just need to get my tire on the back somehow.

4x4 Labs also has a DIY kit of their bumpers which is a nice drop in price too.

True, it scares LC purists though because you have to cut frame horns off.

Bikes are just like cars, you don't have to buy new.

I stopped riding bikes after I got a car, that was the whole point. Some degenerates up in here spending cash to work harder

When electric bikes get cheaper I'll get one. Will be nice to bomb up a hill without exploding my lungs.

    Kona is what you seek.

I looked at Cannondales but realized I get a lot more for my money with Kona.
