Lemon law actually works great if the vehicle is having serious issues. If they made lemon law easy everyone would be trying to get $$$$$ or a new truck due to miniscule issues. Kind of like this situation. My 52k dollar Silverado had the brakes randomly fail while driving and random misfires at idle. Truck was at the dealer for weeks at a time. They had no fix for it.

Ya I guess it depends what you consider a serious issue. It seems like it's only a covered issue if it endagers someone's life. I appreciate the responses

Dude - the service departments are completely separate from the sales departments and you really can't make a judgment on one based on the other. Hell, my local dealership, Culver City Toyota has complete imbeciles in sales but their parts and service departments are actually pretty good.

Why would you do this? You are trading the short inconvenience of time in a dealership for a long period of stress worrying about an unknown. What if you are doing more harm by not having it looked at?

It could be something simple like topping off the fluid, and you are in and out quickly with the problem behind you. It could be something more serious, but time doesn't make bad news better.

Jesus this is all over the place now.... first you didnt want to go to the dealer, then you said you would go to the dealer, now you say you dont want to go to the dealer. Talk of lawyers and lemon laws on something you have not even had checked out yet.

At this point I wouldnt be surprised if you demand they give you a 2022 trd pro for your "pain and suffering"

Because it is my only vehicle, and I need it for a bunch of different things. The dealer is going to avoid fixing anything, so I figure why waste the time. On my other post someone said they had the same issue and the dealer had their truck multiple times and kept saying they didn't hear or feel anything.

The dealer is there to help, but you don't want to go to the dealer because new truck. To even start the lemon process it will have to go to the dealer.

When adults act like 5 year olds news @ 11

I suppose Mr Toyoda needs to hope on his Gulfstream to repair it at home like it's a washing machine at home.

I was going to take it to the dealer, until I drove it around a bit and saw more comments.

I was only able to reproduce the noise a couple times after like 15-20 minutes of driving. I started to notice more symptoms when I tested in 4hi, like other people commented to. This is leading me to think it could be the truck breaking in very harshly, or some bigger problem that will take a while to fix.

If I still have the issue in a few weeks, when I'm not super busy then I will take it in. Idk how everyone has the ability to just hand their truck over and be without a vehicle for an extended amount of time

I do not have the time or another vehicle to be handing my truck over for some unknown period of time. I guess I figured buying a new Toyota would be enjoyable.. silly me

Have you ever heard of the saying "I'll figure it out"? If im out a car, then I will figure it out, Ill ride the bus, Ill take a uber, Ill ride a bike, Ill walk. There are hundreds of other transportation options for people who dont have a car to use.

Saying that you "Idk how everyone has the ability to just hand their truck over and be without a vehicle for an extended amount of time" shows that you have been very sheltered and never had a issue in your life that you needed to figure out. Take this as a lesson on how to live without something for a bit, its not hard to adapt to your situation.

So what would you do if it broke down like right now? Wait for it................

It's called Hertz, Enterprise etc. I'd ask the service writer if Toyota will reimburse for the rental.

Yes I am thinking front diff from the symptoms. I was feeling a pulsing vibration around 1900RPM in 4hi when on the highway. The vibration was very rough, and could feel it in both feet, but it would go away if I let off or gave it more gas.

You remind me of my ex wife. You jump to conclusions, complain without taking action, and refuse to accept the reality of a situation if it doesn’t meet your needs.
