How does it attach to the truck bed? Rails are not covered by the clamps?

There are 2 clamps that cross over the rail and attached 3" from the front of the box so you can use the sliding rail tie downs from the back to the front on either side to 3" from the front which is not very much to interfere.

I have a Leased 2021 double cab with the 5' bed and the least expensive roll up you offer is close to 300 bux.
Do you offer a less expensive roll up or have recommendations of something more appealing for a leased vehicle?

    Thanks.

A tarp and tie downs lol. Just kidding but it is the cheapest you can get. I have the Xtang Trifecta and it cost me around 514.00 CAD that would make it around 350 USD.

That's not bad at all. I speced the OEM cover on my build, but if a truck is allocated without it, it is good to know that I have another option.

I have a 2021 long bed. How do the rollup soft covers attach at the bulk head? Will it clear this mountain bike mount?

What I'd like, is to be able to keep the mount installed on the front rail with the cover in place, and then roll up the cover when I want to bring my bike with me.

Edit: Currently leaning towards the TruXedo Pro X15.

Not yet. Maybe someone like @kyle.realtruck (or anyone for that matter) could tell us how much the TruXedo ProX15 overhangs into the bed when it's fully rolled up?

Hey Kyle I’m in the market for a hard folding tonneau cover for my small box 2020 Tacoma. I’m looking at the Undercover models. My options are flex, ultra flex and the armor flex. What are the major differences between those? They seem pretty similar.

I've been having the same dilemma, not sure which is the best of the flush fits. I had an bakflip G2 on my 2007, and it was great though I didn't like having to drill drain holes in the bed. I put them in the side pockets over the wheels. I liked the full access with the prop rods too.

On my 2015 I got the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 and hated it. It was not really long enough for the bed and the locking mechanisms were clunky. Also having to remove completely for full bed access was a pain... but no drilling for drains was the only positive.

Now with my 21 I'm leaning towards a G2 or similar, I need it to be sturdy, and look good on the Nightshade edition.

P.S. Thanks for this post Kyle, it's been one of the more comprehensive and helpful ones.

This thread is becoming just what it was intended to be. A pretty good sales tool disguised as a PSA.

Just got a 2021 TRD Sport with long bed an am looking for a soft or hard cover that lifts up as one piece. Would like to install or fabricate a rack attached underneath cover frame to hold fishing rods. Any recommendations?

I bought a used 20 in December with a Leer fiberglass tonneau. I like the look but had a tri fold on my previous truck that I liked better.
Not sure if I will keep the Leer

Not totally familiar with standard protocol on this forum, but on the forum I administrate the fees paid by the vendor gives them the privilege of promoting their business. From what I can see, Realtruck is currently a paid vendor. I found the original post by @kyle.realtruck to be very professional, comprehensive, and informative to the point that I purchased a cover from them today. I also found Kyle's answers to the questions very helpful as well. I did have a couple of concerns prior to ordering so I dropped Kyle a PM, to which he responded and offered any further assistance necessary to help me with my product choice.

Jesus Christ! Every time I find a damn cover I like, it does NOT fit our 07 or 15, 6’ beds unless it’s over $1500! The biggest problem is with any and all of these covers if you don’t like them after a few months and you try to sell it you take a minimum hit of 50 to 75% plus! Some will get lucky and the right buyer just happens to wants what you are trying to unload. Or you try to recoup more than 50% you set on it for months and maybe longer…
I purchased a sweet fitting, water tight fiberglass Snug Top. I worked on it for a few weeks replacing all the nuts and bolts with SS, pulled off the damn felt underneath (it’s nothing but a damn dust magnet then if it gets wet it drips mud!) Replaced all the rubber seals, DA, guide coat, blocked, guide coat & sanded, guide coat & sand again the top to color match. The thing that I don’t like it’s impossible to remove and install by yourself plus I bet it’s 90 to 100 lbs. or more.
When we first purchased the 07 Tacoma i had ordered / purchased an Peragon cover in March then about two weeks later I get an email telling me that they were going discontinued the cover for my model then refunded my CC (they have no choice but to refund) I then tried to call the owner and the sales manager told me his job was to keep customers from talking to the owner. I asked the Dick Head why, he said my (15) was an old model and they rather concentrate on newer models as they couldn’t get production workers. So because they probably don’t want to pay a fair wage to blue collarworkers they just cancel models. Talk about a low life f**ked up owner & company! Peragon SUCKS‼️ Oh, Peragon only has a one year warranty unless you pay extra for an whole 3 year warranty.

    This Tonneau cover thing sucks!
Done venting. Now time for the… :crapstorm:
