Update to local dealer maintenance; took about an hour and half for an oil change, rotation and filter change and came out to $140 w/ a multipoint inspection. This was my first time taking my Tacoma to the dealer, can anyone chime in their thoughts on the price?
I turned down their whole fluid flush and tire balancing year 2 tune up for $600

Skipping the filters and doing those yourself will shave $50 off that visit. Oem engine air and cabin air filters aren't cheap.

Fair, I already did the cabin air myself but I think I can move towards mainly DIY maintenance once I build up a tool kit at my new place w/ no garage.

$140 isn't bad. All shops here charge out the ass for anything, so the dealer doing those things and hopefully actually inspecting all those things with check boxes is not too shabby.

I really pondered on how to mount it and ended up drilling under the sensor but I did it from the back of it with the badge and sensor off and was easier, I think and didn't risk having the drill rub the front of the grill on accident. It was pretty easy. Routing the wires correctly was a little time consuming but not hard. I got the premium camera, not the standard. Had to put two of the rubber wedges between the camera and grill to get the desired angle. It's not the greatest but it does what I want it to.

Caliraised gas tank skid install. Those studs sticking out of the gas tank straps are wonky as fuck. Jack-o'-lantern teeth. I used my elbow and a floor jack and got enough pressure in the right places to get it all lined up. It really wasnt hard, maybe 30 minutes on the ground in my driveway start to finish.

Obviously a better option compared to the cafeteria lunch tray that Toyota put back there.

After WAY too much thinking and overthinking. I ordered a Softopper for my SR. Came down to I I liked the idea of being able to use the bed for camping but could fold the Softopper down to haul full loads in the truck. Got good info from folks that it would withstand MN winters and went for it. 3-5 weeks and I should have it.

I saw another thread on the soft topper here today. Id guess 6 to 8 weeks. I do like that it folds up, pretty cool.

yeah. Email confirmation Saud 4-6. Guess I'll see what it really is. as long as it's here before the snow flies, it should be ok. I don't haul stuff in truck bed a lot. This is more so I have something for camping that also works as a bed cover that I move out of the way easily.

Hit the DIY wash and finally got the bug collection off my front end.
Also have to start getting used to the front plate bracket, was starting to like the ziptied-to-grille look 72E5ADBF-C83E-4539-85A9-A6E8EB04F018.jpg
