How do is these compare for someone who like to go fast? I have the 12” 2.0s ready to install but I’m thinking the stock length 2.5s might be better suited for my driving style. I assumed the 12” 2.0s would be an upgrade but after running a fluid volume calculation, the stock 2.5 still has a slight advantage in capacity over the extended extended 12s. Thoughts?

I’d imagine that if you can’t take advantage of the extra travel provided by the 12” 2.0s, the 2.5s would be better. But I’m not a suspension guru.

also the 2.0s might cool slightly better due to surface area to volume advantage. But again, I’m an idiot.

use what you have in hand imho

-12" bolt in King 2.0 rear shocks? I assume you have shock relocation brackets?
-Longer shocks may not even work unless you have the correct springs/shackles to go along with them to get the most out of the shock.
-Also, what suspension do you have up front that would be paired with this rear setup? Front and rear suspension should be considered if you are looking for better ride quality in high speed stuff.

Shock relocation brackets already installed, along with shackles and hangers?

Shackles and hangers are installed but the relocation brackets are not. I just want to be confident before cutting and welding. Im thinking for the same amount of work I could go archive garage brackets so I have the option of running a 14” 2.5 in the future.

I take it the BAMF kit only allows for 2.0 diameter shock in there? For high speed and frequent off-roading, we would definitely suggest a 2.5 diameter shock. They will last a lot longer and put up with the extra heat. This is why our stage 5 kits include the ARG shock relocation brackets and 2.5 x 12" travel rear shocks.
