That's a horrible idea. What time?
Winch question. Synthetic vs steel cable. I know synthetic is lighter, but you have to watch rubbing on rocks and such. Stell needs to be cleaned and lubed every so often. Beside wieght, is there are major difference? Looking to get one soon and maybe get the bumper on this weekend.

And start prepping the sliders that should arrive tomorrow.

If the cable snaps for whatever reason, I'd rather get hit in the face with a synthetic cable rather than a steel cable

Those lights suck, I burned through a few before buying these. Strong for over a year. Same concept but must be different due to two leds vs one. And when I say they suck, I mean they lasted a day.

    https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...late-bolt-stud-mount-pigtail-connection/1685/

Safety, weight, and easier to handle on the trail. No need for leather gloves when handling the line.

Good to know thanks! I've gone years without plate lights, so if these fail I don't mind. I bought two pairs just in case haha

I'll likely upgrade to the nicer ones you linked at some point though. It looks like they suffer from the same problem though, what kind of connector could you use that would fit through the bolt hole? Otherwise you have to cut the cable to swap plates haha

I just hardwired it straight to my lights, no connector. I don't anticipate having to undo them anytime soon. You could use these though. They screw to make the connection, not crimp, so you could just unscrew one end and slip the wire out. They're fantastic connectors.

Just ordered a leaf pack from Deaver. They didn't ask for a deposit; so two of the three orders I've made this week (ADS, Archive, Deaver) haven't asked for a credit card. The demand is such that if someone bails on an order they know they can sell them the next day.

In case anyone is wondering on lead times:
    ADS: 10-15 weeks
Archive: 30 days for most stuff but 60 days for shackles (Eric said there will be a price increase coming in a month or two)
    Deaver: 4-6 weeks

Next up, for the fourth day of Christmas, UCAs.

Those looks awesome, I'll order a handful! Might have to stagger the length of the cables or something, but that's simple enough. Noice.

    Thanks man!

You have a link to the job posting? I know my little brother is looking for work. He's on contract with the VA right now. It's expiring soon, and they're not re-upping any of their IT contractors.

Message me his email and I can refer the job to him. Get him to write a few sentences for the why this guy is good section. A referral generally means the resume gets looked at by a human instead of just the search engine they use. If he wants to take a look at Altrias career website there should be several IT jobs listed.

I have these. They are super crazy bright. Almost to the fact that they wash out my backup camera.. I 75% recommend them. But you might need that harness from @Puppypunter that cuts them off when you are in reverse

Replaced tensioner pulley today. Also replaced AC clutch, but it didnt resolve my no AC problem. Anyone have a shop they recommend for AC service? Id probably need leakdown check and recharge. I know of GT Peace in Chantilly, but would rather not go farther east than that.. so somewhere in Chantilly/Herndon/Sterling

I'm not really and AC expert, but as far as recharge, thats not too difficult to do on your own if you want to save some cash. I did it, and I'm practically a caveman. I followed this chrisfix video, and it was pretty straight forward. Only needed the Manifold gauges and vacuum pump (which I rented), x2 r134a cans w/ dye that I got from Walmart for $6/each, a refrigerant can tap, and a scale. Total cost to me was less than $20 and probably 3 hrs. Most of the time was the leakdown part just holding a vacuum for an hr or two

OK thanks. I might try it. But someone else recommended me their shop charged ~$90, so i figured it was worth that..
