An guys I'm bummed. Looked under the truck today to be greeted by what you see below. Didn't look bad at all when I first got the truck a year and half ago but now...really liking this truck but out of ideas. Talked with safetcap and they have caps for the access cab and double cab but nothing for the single cabs. Any ideas? Hate to post on the 2nd gen forum cause I feel I'll get roasted.

No...took it when I first got it and Toyota said nothing was wrong. Obviously it didn't look like that originally. Build date is March 08.

 

Is it still covered under the frame recall? Call a Toyota Dealership and ask.

damn that sucks man because that looks like one good hit from not being a frame anymore....

 

he said no but i would go to another dealer and ask for them to look because if its never been done it should be covered

 

Anyone going to Rendezvous at the Ozark this year? I just registered.

 

Being past the date I highly doubt they'll cover it. There are tons of stories on here of people getting flipped off because of their warranty being expired. I'm at a loss...

According to this, he should be good till 2023. Shoot Joe a message and see what he knows, either if its still covered or if he can source a new frame or just the rear frame rails.

Full frame from Texas runs about $1,000. Just a rear cut would be roughly $600 shipped.

 

not sure if you are past date i could have sworn it was like 10-12 years so for sure go to another dealer and see what they can do

 

Did the years coverage change from 12 to 15? If so I gotta get my truck to a dealer ASAP.

 

Worth a shot. Worst they can say is no I guess. Just make sure they don't try to hold you with 'we can't let you drive this, its unfit to drive'.

 

Have to see. What a bummer. The only other thing I can think of is using a repair kit from safetcap and seeing if a access cab part will fit a single cab but they offer no warranty or guarantee.
