I kind of thought so. I wasn't sure if the universal was the same thing or not. The extra hose only cost me like $12 not a big deal

I thought about putting it over there but I wanted to keep it close to the engine so it would heat up faster. I don't drive much for work and have had the yellow sludge in my engine a lot. I wanted to make sure that the hoses don't get to cold and clog up when we have weeks of sub zero temps.

Where'd you pick yours up at? Been debating adding this for a while and I think I'm going to pull the trigger finally.

I have a block heater that was installed when new, don’t know if that would help any (probably not) lately our temps have been milder with less snow fall. I guess I’ll find out sooner or later if the location of the catch can is too far away. :notsure: BTW, I haven’t had to plug in for many years now…

With the help of @boogie3478, I believe he gave us a discount code from his uboob ? Don’t remember now.
https://addw1.referralcandy.com/ could use his discount code FRIEND-54TXHVC. Helps you, helps him. It’s a win win.

Lucky our winters are getting worse and worse. We have one of the most fragile climates in the country in Minnesota so they are getting colder and longer here so that makes me a little nervous but I'm sure if I run it long enough a day or two it will eliminate my worry. Id take that block heater from you if you aren't using it :boink:

Lucky? I love the cold. -35F* for a high temp is wonderful to me. I rebuilt my snowblower last summer, but never had to use it last winter. In summer I usually move up to a higher elevation. I live next to the overcrowded Parks. At least snowpack on the Tetons has been a little more normal. I’m rebuilding my teardrop camper for more ground clearance, etc. so I haven’t been able to go higher up. 2021 has been the year of “waiting for parts” Would I sell my block heater? No, I remember when they were like gold to have.

Finally received and installed the Subaru Kicker tweeters. Sound is as good as can get with the basic radio/cd player. Will get a 6.75 inch touch screen as soon as I figure out required cable etc. moving the dinky useless led mirror rear camera image to a head unit. I did swap out the HVAC knobs to the lighted knurled ones for arthritic reasons. By the way I did find the hidden rear headliner speakers in my access cab. If I fade 100% to rear and crank up volume it sounds like a child whispering in the back seat. Awesome job on that Mr Toyota. At least my 2016 access cab had rear door speakers. Does anyone know if a third gen camera cable, from the oem camera to the head unit, will be plug and play for a 2nd gen.

Just installed my best mod so far. Check out the fresh TacomaWorld sticker.

I need to get around to re-routing my CB coax to my center console, now that I've moved my antenna to the front of the truck.

I that case then anything you put in your bed could do the same including any mounted the bed tracks... so I retrospect that would anything regardless of what it is is a deadly hazard to you? I'm lost... it is strapped tight & I dbl check daily. I also have a back rack to keep anything coming through.

Headliner speakers are the "rear" speakers in 2nd gen access cabs. Mounted under the hesdliner just above and behind the front seat headrests. Apparently they are wafer thin and very useless.
