@Wiltsie 85 Wow, we really do have exactly identical builds down to the premium package lol. That's so exciting. I'm in northern Utah, so I wonder if I was just right behind you in line in our region for that truck! So cool. I wish mine was here now too, but so excited for you. You have a lot of summer ahead of you for camping and off roading with that beauty. Happy trails!

I just read through 77 pages of this thread and then joined the forum, ok I skipped a couple pages. But I was just trying to get some info on what others have experienced. I placed an order on 5/1 at Titus will Toyota in Tacoma wa for a trd sport 4x4 dcsb 6mt premium in army green… talked to dealer today, who stated there were 7 of those in the whole US market and they have tried to allocate twice every month since I placed my deposit but just haven’t got anything yet (disappointing). My wife and I were told 30-90 days when deposit was placed/ordered, needless to say those 90 days are almost up and no truck has been built yet. Today was only the second time I have contacted dealer, the first after 30 days of no update(was told to be patient). Just kinda jealous of some of the folks who have received their orders so quickly. I guess I ordered a unicorn.

    Update with info for mine.

2021 TRD PRO Black w/ MT
Allocation Date / order Date by dealer: 04/2021
    Build Date: 05/21
Date of my interest and Deposit: 06/19/2021
Date of arrival at dealer: 07/17
    Date of pickup: 07/19
    Dealer: Toyota Mercedes of Bellingham

Overall I'd say based on having read this thread I am either very lucky, no one in Bellingham, WA likes manuals, or something as of yet undetermined.

Love the truck and I've already thrown 285's on and gone out to the hills to drive through some less than stellar terrain. Thus far: no rub and it sure looks better than it did with the wranglers. If it rubs then I'll apply the heat gun and massage the fender liners.

I didn’t realize Bellingham had a Mercedes dealer. Thought it was mainly college students. Either way my Tacoma will be a 99% street truck. If I want to go wheeling’ I’ll take my 80’ pickup, she’s already got the body damage to make it through Elbe like a champ.

sweet build, same truck (even color) I was looking for a few weeks ago. I currently have a deposit on the new Tundra, waiting for the full reveal. If I don't like what I see I'll be trading and picking up a 22 pro. Not many folks drive manual, it's sadly a dying breed.
Has to be due to being a manual transmission, seen a good amount of offroad's and sports in green in my area, all automatics.

Yeah, there are a few of us here that have quite similar builds to what you ordered including me. My dealer said mine was a unicorn and said he was shocked that they got one. And I’ll echo that it’s definitely the manual part that makes it so difficult. There are just so few manuals being made. I was just about to give up hope and then my dealer called with the temp VIN. Same could absolutely happen for you. Crossing my fingers that everything continues to fall in to place with my build.

Woke up to a good text this morning at least...

Good morning Jennifer, your Tacoma is around the corner. I received another update and the Tacoma should arrive in a day or two

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
'21 TRD OR DCSB - found it in F-Status in late March, and they projected the production date for the 3rd week of April. It ended up being about a week later than that, but when it hit F-Status, I went in, paid, and it was on the lot within 48 hours with keys in hand.

All in all, just over a full month of waiting to get the exact truck that I wanted. Worth every second.

So, not sure if this is specific to the dealer I worked with, but that's when the temp VIN on (I believe usually starting with a B) switches over to the ACTUAL vin number, and is being made. I was able to watch the status via some link that they gave me.

I also had to wait for the truck to go into Freight status before I could go in and sign paperwork. It literally all happened within a few days from there, though. They had my money and my trade-in, and I had their loaner. haha.

I was just told this morning mine is in G status, or purple which means its a day or two away... when it's in blue it's checked in
