Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot, went to the podiatrist yesterday. He said, "I'm just going to mention this, don't think you need it, but it would speed up the healing process. I can give you a cortisone shot right where it hurts, but the shot is no joke, from a pain standpoint." I asked him if he was just preparing me for the worst; he said he wasn't.

    He wasn't.

My brother gets those in his knees and back - he will confirm. "They'll numb it, but I think he's just poking me with a paper clip to make me think that he numbed it.

Did they give you the magic torture socks to wear when you sleep?

I received the epidurals in my lower back, 4 sets of 4 each time, about ten years ago. Before the last set, as I'm laying on my stomach waiting, the pain doc rolls in with this as his walk up music:

I asked him if it was necessary to have House of Pain as the soundtrack, and he just laughed. After the 4th shot, he said, "Okay, just one more!". I told him that I was very good at the number line as a lad, and that we had indeed already had the promised 4 shots. His reply was that I was correct, but that someone had prepared 5, not 4, and it wouldn't be good to waste the last one. My suggestion, to give the last one to the person that can't count to 4, was laughed off, and in it went.

My wife bought me those torture socks last week. Chinese manufacturing quality, one is okay to put on, the other is noticeably smaller. To the point that I blew a nut trying to put it on. I have a night splint coming on the brown truck, and I'll wear that to keep everything stretched out for the next week or so.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning ATX! Happy Hump-Friday!

Since you were all over the real estate biz the other day, I made our house worth a gazillion dollars more, and the Taco helped do it!

Wife prods city to make the neighbor (boo!) fix a leak at the water box. City comes out, digs a mess, and shows her it's our leak. WAS a slow leak until they exposed it - now we have to shut off water until we have to use it. Then it rains 3/4".

    20210720_094527.jpg

Taco winch to the rescue. Lost 2/3 of that bush to the freeze anyway.

    20210720_101015.jpg

Son and I wet vac and dig to get to todays mission.

    20210720_105804.jpg

Wife makes good by actually getting a plumber on the phone, who will come over, RIGHT NOW. The sun comes out, and this is professionally repaired.

    20210720_104459.jpg
    20210720_113545.jpg

Wife goes :spending:. City comes back, reinstalls the box, replaces the 3 million gallon meter, and I am left to play Mr. Sandman and Serv-Pro.

    20210720_151846.jpg
    20210720_155933.jpg

This makes it worth a gazillion $$$.

Thanks, it is slowly getting better. Hey, just a tip... I hope you opened plenty of faucets before you turned the main back on, to relieve the pressure caused by the water rushing back in. Even if you did, make sure everything in the house is up to snuff. The reason I mention this is that in our last house, we had a leak right off the meter, got it fixed, had the faucets open downstairs in our two story house, and thought everything was fine. What I didn't know is that the pressure had damaged the flow valve in one of the toilets upstairs. We rarely used the upstairs, so I didn't think to look up there.

About 1:30am the next day, my wife woke me up to tell me that there was water coming out of the pot lights in the kitchen. I saw a guy get electrocuted in front of my when I was 8, so water/electricity is way down the list, in terms of combinations, in my book. I ran upstairs and shut the water off to the toilet, which stopped the tank overflow, and started up the shop vac... That valve was 10+ years old, cheap production builder grade, and just couldn't handle the initial water pressure.

After running fans and a dehumidifier in the space between the first and second floor, I was able to stick my iPhone up through the holes in the ceiling and make sure everything was dry, then it was a ceiling repaint a week or so later, and all back to normal.

Yeah, I knew you were going to drop the 1st/2nd on me... It's good to be in a one story, the second floor in that one was a waste, but houses were cheap in '03!

Got a bumper install on a Taco 1st, I have 6hrs allotted for it, but I doubt I'll go over 4hrs. Should be done by 1p with it.

Hello everyone. New to Texas (near the new Tesla factory). New to Toyota Trucks.

Coming from another forum where @tony2018 invited me over to meet y’all.

Just bought a 2008 4Runner SR5 4wd after arriving here in Austin back in May. Stock and loving it so far. (Just learned it’s the turd gen lol)

wanted to reach out to @Texoma because it looks like he’s a legend on here and I’d like to work with you sir. Tony recommended you when I asked about off-road shops around Austin.
