I’m looking to get into this soon, I want single stick. Looking at T cases and don’t want to make a mistake. Anything other than manual tranny tcases and full time cases is there anything else to look for? If I just want the single stick it drops in cut the hole and add the ADD switch correct?

You’ve got it right. You also don’t have to keep the ADD if you don’t want to. You can swap to a solid tube or just engage the add and leave it engaged.

That's exactly what i will be doing. Got a case on ebay for $420 shipped including shifter. It has 135k miles. From a 2011 4runner manual shift.

I did! 4lo_pro on IG. I also have the fj case swap in mine and I chose the easy/free route of leaving the ADD engaged. I just turned truck to 4hi and unplugged the 4wd ecu.

What’s great about this method is you can go back and wire in the ADD later if you really want.

Mine had 195k I think? Win win because it’s lower mileage than my truck but still cheap since it’s considered high mileage. $300 shipped for it.
