I know it’s an Leer but what model? It needs new gas shocks and potentially a new fiberglass weather strip, although I’m gonna try and JB weld it first. Missing the key as well. Has built in roof rails too

That being said, does anyone wanna trade it for a black cap? :D

wow a cap for $100 is a steal regardless of the few minor things that need to be done!

Simple task to replace the gas shocks and weatherstrip.

Color can easily be changed with 2-3 rattle cans.

$100 .....that cap was essentially free.

I kinda dig the two tone look for now. Might get it paint matched at Macao eventually. Couple of my friends had their trucks done there and have no complaints.

That's a win. also doesn't look too bad being a different color. But yeah, a few cans of spray paint could do the trick.

Figured out it’s a Leer 100xl. Has the twist out side in screened windows also. LED light inside. Forgot to ask them for the harness but no biggie. Can always make my own

If anyone could link me to some struts for this that’d be great. The window completely closes if you don’t hold it up.

Edit: Ordered these after digging a bit: Suspa C16-02648 C1602648 17" Gas Prop, Quantity (2), Force is 35 Lbs Per Prop, Force Per Set is 70 Lbs, Camper Rear Window, Tonneau Cover Lift Supports, Window Lift Support, Struts, Made in USA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007IV6AFI

Also went ahead and ordered some new emblems. Don’t know what this company was thinking putting these ugly things on here

For sure. Just ordered some bed lighting as well. Might use some extra adhesive to make sure it stays attached to the fiberglass since this isn’t carpeted. I’ve had luck with nilight in the past so I hope these uphold that standard

I have a softopper and was thinking of doing something like that also, but maybe not quite that bright.

A locksmith can make you a new key for it.

Got the third brake light wired in and the 60” LED strips as soon as they came in. The blue tape was just to hold the sections in place that I used a little construction adhesive on for added security.

Third brake light is using green/brown for power and black/white for ground. I tapped them with scotch locks (not my favorite). The LED strips are using the same ground as the 3rd brake light. Power ran to the battery. Wasn’t sure what to do with all the excess so I just zip tied it together and stuffed it in the corner. I tried shoving it in the window gasket but it made it all funky. I’ll pretty it up eventually.

The new struts came in and unfortunately they are too long. Probably will just pick up a pair at an auto parts store if I can. The epoxy worked well on the fiberglass strip and hopefully holds.

Well that cap was short lived. I went riding with my buddies the other day and got the itch for another atv again. $100 for the cap and $50 in parts and I sold it for $1150. I think I’ll just get a tonneau for my storage needs and call it a day
