    Yeah it's all good. I can't seem to find a hitch pin for the Tundra that either A) Fits, or B) Has a locking action that I am happy with. So I feel ya there on not being perfectly happy on solutions.

    Thanks for that link! Those custom bolts look really cool! I'll also probably be re-evaluating it whenever I get around to figuring out my rear end situation... full steal bumper with tire carrier or hitch mounted tire carrier :annoyed:

    Yeah, I feel the same about the bumper sitch, stuck in analysis paralysis on that one. Fortunately for me I have lots of crimping to do to keep me from doing mods for now :)

    Nice.

    However, I am definitely looking for a locking pin solution that I can swap between HitchPod and tow ball from time-to-time. My new tow pig actually tows sometimes and I would rather not have a different pin for the light, and another for the ball.

    All said, the issue that arises is that the Tundra has what I am calling an additional "support sleeve" around the hitch point making where the pin goes in slightly larger than most. I don't want to go the route of getting a pin designed for a 3" receiver either... It's just a long game of trial and error right now.

    I have this one and another locking option that Curt makes on order as they both notate that they will fit late model Tacomas and Tundras - We shall see:

    There is a DIY thread too, if you have more time and less money. One guy did his own. I wonder how much he ended up having to spend. I burn a lot of time trying to minimize part costs when ordering and it can get quite frustrating trying to do that.

    For example, right now the relays I use are OOS at mouser so only available for 2-3x as much in low quantities. That might not be a big deal for ordering a single where shipping is going to be >= item price.

    Thanks, I was actually just reading that thread! I actually do enjoy wiring and have done quite a bit in different vehicles I've own. (Planning on an alarm and remote start down the road, always a lot of fun! :goingcrazy:). But like you mentioned, buying small quantities with shipping costs figured in can negate any savings!
