I was thinking the third time?

Still though, for as many 'gimme a diesel option' posts / threads, you'd think that the original owner would be driving the wheels off of it, posting vids of it pulling horse trailers, or it would be scooped up like a new Bronco.

    Instead, it's got 750mi (7. 5. 0!) on it? LoL! :D

Same. It truly is one of a kind, there’s no doubt about that, but paying Ford F-350 MSRP money is just plain stupidity.

And, F-350s are actually selling for MSRP these days. Lot lizards must be loving life, except for the empty lots.

...and you won't get a fraction of the torque and HP an F350 provides, Let along payload and towing capacity

I'd pass. Keep your mid-size gem. I'll drive my mid-size gas powered Tacoma and have just as much fun

dieseltoys is quoting $30k for a 3rd gen conversion, so the price isn't totally out of line. I'd totally be interested in a factory diesel Tacoma, I'm just not interested at $75k. Maybe if someone found a great deal on a 3rd gen Taco with a blown engine it would be fun, but I'm just to cheap to be interested in this.

It even comes with all the BS and troubleshooting gremlins associated with a conversion! Hard to beat that value

He’s probably selling because the 1KD gremlins are already coming out to play.

GM shutting down one of their plants that produces Trucks for 1 week.
    Also shutting down a third-shift.

The Covid Delta Variant is going to keep the chip-shortage relevant probably for the next year or two.

I understand Ford is shipping trucks to their dealers 'incomplete' and will have the dealers perform the last-steps to
install chip-based-components once they are available.

This chip-shortage-rodeo is going to continue for quite a while, and our Tacoma's will only become more valuable.

Now in regards to this diesel Tacoma. I can only wonder why. It's not like diesel is cheaper than gasoline. Heck it costs MORE.
The benefits for 99.99999% of us do not outweigh the costs. Krazy-Town. Krazy-Times.

Slapping a diesel into a 3rd gen tacoma does not make it a Hilux. What a dumbass.
