Purposely scheduled myself an easy run before takeover so I wouldn’t have to fix anything beforehand. That run went well, everything was good. Then yesterday the kids wanted to go wheeling on the way home, can’t say no to that. Took a road that used to be easy but after the storms is far from that now. Got to a spot where I couldn’t turn around. Ended up winching about 10 times getting up the trail. Broke a cv, caved in the muffler, and have to tighten the steering rack guide. And I have to go to the yard to get a more spare axles. Good thing it’s supposed to be nice this weekend.

    That's not a road, it's a creek.

    Looks fun tho.

I did a couple light trails 2 weeks ago forgetting about the rain as well, let's just say they're a little less light now :anonymous: glad you got out okay!

A little of both right now. Hoping to get out this weekend and check a few more of the roads in the area. I have a route around 40 miles long that connect 8-10 unmaintained roads. I’m guessing a few of them are a lot harder right now. Might head up and run this one again in my friends SASed Tacoma.

Sunday we stopped in Keene on our way home from wheeling in Hillsborough
and Key rd was flooded out. We watched for an hour as everyone was blasting though the water. Then some kids showed up and started kayaking in the road.

I am really interested in going to this, but I've turned my taco into a pavement princess. No skids or sliders and sport suspension. Is it worth trying, or should I wait until I get some more offroad oriented mods? Hell even if my stock rig couldn't handle it I'd love if I could ride along with some of the more experienced guys.

You can do most greens. The issue is washouts. A green can turn to blue (or black) with no warning. If you annually wash and wax your truck consider a ride along.

Suggested; something more than the factory extraction points (e.g., d-rings).

Well I'm hoping I can run with guys who would be able to show what to look for and the best angles. I got the front tow hook replacement by BPF a few years back and one of those hitch receiver shackle too. Well if it wouldn't be slowing anyone down for my first time out, I would love to come along.

When my truck was stock a couple years ago, I had a blast bringing it to Rausch for the takeover. I had sliders. But take your time, let someone know if you need a spotter and you should be good.

So my plan is to wheel greens on Friday with any Rookies that want to come out and learn a thing or 2.

Saturday I'll be hitting Black and Blue.

Sunday I'll have a hangover and puke my guts out possibly then head home:rofl:

I also need some people to help me figure out what to do with the serious rake I have on my truck.
I'm not sure what or how to fix it and I now there's people with alot more skills than me there!

Hell yeah more than welcome, only thing is I have no backseat...
It's basically a platform now for the dog.
    No seat belts...
But I don't plan on driving too fast or doing anything that's going to tip me.

Supposed to do it the other way around. Wheel hard the first day then if you break something you can take it easier the next day.

My husbo an I coming to the event! Super excited!! I have had my taco for less than a year but this year I have been to: Moab, Silver lake Sand dunes- twice, Bundy Hill OR Park and Rocks and Valleys OR Park. Husbo has been to Rausch once or twice (he's driving a jeep rubi right now). I consider myself a little green when it comes to wheeling the taco but have been to Moab and Co wheeling a few times in an Xterra. Wouldn't mind following a more experienced wheeler on saturday on some trails that won't tear my sh#t up. I have the mods. Looking forward to meeting some new friends too.
