Nice that Rodgers was able to get back out there and get it done. At least a split and no chance for the Dodgers to reclaim 1st place this series.

It’s been a great rivalry, just over 2500 games played and the difference is not quite 20 games. Giants held a slightly larger margin in NY than the Dodgers hold since moving west. Closers aren’t perfect but there’s more zest when those few lapses occur against the rival. I hope it’s another competitive year. If all 3 teams keep winning the wild card race (and who gets to avoid it by being in first place)will be truly wild.

It also means that for the other divisions there might well be only one way in and that’s to win their division so it could spice things up all around the NL.

That had to suck. 15 straight scoreless innings then back to back blown saves, and against the Giants to boot.

Robert’s needs to go.. he should have been gone 2 years ago. Jansen also sucks, Treinen should have been left in.

I would rather have them celebrate one of the tribes than avoid the subject altogether. Mohicans or Hurons maybe but we have a long way to go before we can deal with guilt rationally.

With the Rock n Roll hall of Fame there, I was thinking Cleveland Rockers.

Elsewhere the name Rocks or Rockers was mentioned, but it was pointed out it’s too close to Rockies.

Guardians sounds like a XFL team.

Yea, that makes sense. Rockies vs Rockers would be weird, but Guardians just doesn’t sound right for a MLB team.

True but the story behind Guardians make sense at least . . .

Not sure what the mascot will be?

Reynolds seems to do very well against his former team.

That was one of those trades I hate. Andrew was never going to be a giant long term. Neither was Carlos Beltran. I hope Zaidi doesn’t take us down that rabbit hole this year. Sign free agents, sure, but don’t trade your number one prospects for a player that doesn’t want to be here. And Renolds never got the opportunity to actually be a Giant.
