So these require you to drill holes?

Yikes! So don’t install these if you live in the rust belt, got it!

I just put these on today. The instructions were horrible. I did not drill that last hole on the bottom either. Also had bolts left over lol.

Do these stick out enough to protect the truck from door dings? I had all-pro apex sliders on my 2nd gen and yes those where made for bashing. I’m older now and have no plans of bouncing off rocks in my daily driver/camping-rig, so I really don’t care if these are “real sliders”. I simply want these to protect my truck from idiots in tight parking spots. So again, my only question is do these stick out enough to defend my defenseless cute lil truck when unattended in a mall parking lot?

I'd go with a hard no, obviously not at all what these are designed for. Go with ANY other 0degree slider or step for that matter.

These are great and look OEM on the truck. I have a second unopened set of these for sale in Northern California as well if anyone is interested.

well alot of other sliders out there require you to drill holes whereas these ones are optional to drill, manufacturer just recommends that you do if you plan on actually subjecting them to heavy use. and if you did drill youd paint the holes and coat with rust preventative coating..

I actually run these sliders, and they are awesome. Not as much protection as the majority of the others out there from the sides, but they look so damn good!! An acceptable trade off to have them tucked up to the body so close. Great protection from rocks underneath. Perfect for my needs.

G'day all! I'm considering the TJM sliders due to their tucked-up nature and quick availability/ship times at the moment. Came across this thread - thanks for all the great info. Does anyone have any updates on their performance and how they like the TJM sliders?

I like them currently have them on my truck. I hit a log the first week i had them on a logging trail. obviously not a tough test but my rocker panels would have been dented in without it, now that i think about it id truly be fucked if i didint have them on. Im also not in the business of torture testing them for the sake of understanding my truck costs 40k lol
