It’s a common problem near me in Phoenix. Batteries too! It’s like when they were stealing copper from AC units to get their fix!

I know your post was a few months back. I'm in Houston as well... may I ask what side of town when it was stolen?

Common sense. Yeah, like a 10 day waiting period and background check. Cats kill, we need common sense cat laws now. /s

Has this improved or decreased your MPG? Does it make your exhaust louder or drone?

It only gets louder when you stomp on it.
As far as mileage, I really can’t say since my truck only had 44 miles on it when I put it on.

I think a lot of people here are over-thinking and over-spending on this whole Cat-skid-plate-security-thing. The wings that cover the Cats don’t need to be made of super thick material and the skids don’t need to be $400+ dollars. Even cheap 1/8” thick aluminum skids and wings will be enough for most thieves to decide to move on. If a thief really, really wants your Cats in particular, they're gonna put in the time and get them anyway (and possibly walk away with your expensive skid plate as well as your Cats)
Yes, if you’re a serious off-roader, definitely spend some $$$$ and get a decent skid to protect your rig. But if you’re buying one mostly to protect your Cats and for some peace-of-mind while doing some moderate 4x4ing, buying a cheap skid and adding some material to extend it over the Cats is a lot easier on the wallet IMO.

Nope, it mounts up to existing holes.

there is an extra hole on the rear that will take a 1/2” bolt too.

I work at a wholesale autoparts delivery company. This past Thursday morning we discovered that thieves had hopped the fence that surrounds our vehicle lot and stole the cats off six of the nine trucks and vans in the lot. They left their jack under the last one they took. It's going to cost the company thousands! We had to take the vehicles to a muffler shop and they installed straight pipes in the place of the missing cats, just to get the trucks back on the road to make deliveries. But, it's going to cause a lot of problems. The check engine lights are on now on several of the vehicles, because from what I understand after taking to some mechanics on my route that by Not having the cats inplace will cause the 02 sensors to malfunction and can cause other problems too. What a mess!

I have a 2011 V6 PreRunner. Will this fit my truck? It was listed as 4x4.

Stealing from any Prius and we have lost over 100 so far. One guy I work with had his stolen from his Tundra in broad daylight.
