Texas and OU have declared their intent to leave and we’ll hear something possibly within the next 48 hours.
Sucks.

Texas has given up on football.

 

Were driving towards the point of 4 super conferences... the way I see it:

Soon... all the Big XII along with the West Coast schools form the superPAC. Big Ten merges with the better AAC schools to form the BIGGG 20... and the SEC/ACC battle to absorb mid- major southern schools. I think before its over all conferences that matter will have at least 20 schools... and other than playoffs we don't get many ooc games anymore.

 

Texas just wants to resume beating up on TX A&M on Thanksgiving again. Yes, I have missed seeing it these last few years. SOMETHING has got to end the malaise in Austin though. Because, it ain't due to lack of money:

I read somewhere a few years back that they are like the fifth richest sports franchise in the world. Now they can legitimately bill themselves as "The Richest College Football Team That Money Can Buy".

In other news, Texas A&M football players have succeeded in getting administration approval of a new football uniform that better fits with who they are. The negotiations had come to loggerheads over one final accessorizing "sticking" point: Snaps, not velcro.

 

Imagine the SEC west with the addition of Oklahoma.

 

Imagine thinking OU adds to the SEC brand. No market, and they’re SEC whipping boys come bowl season.

 

Imagine thinking someone other than bammer runs the show with NS at the helm. Not gonna happen.

 

To focus on what, basketball? They haven't given up, they're just incompetent.

 

I feel like Texas is used to having everyone bow down to them in the Big12 because of tradition. How are they gonna react when that’s not the way it goes down in the SEC?

As for whipping up on Aggie…I don’t think that’s gonna happen for several years, either. It’s very possible Texas will be the 6th-8th best team in the conference.

 

Kansas has reached out to the B1G, Baylor, TT, and TCU have reached out to the PAC12

I don’t give a shit about conferences. I just want to watch my team play.
I love to hear aggy cry about wanting to be the only Texas team in the sec.
I’m also really going to enjoy a certain posters reaction when WVU ends up in the AAC.



I think those division would be perfect and they keep all of the natural rivalries intact.

We will have the same odds of winning the SEC West as you will, either way.

 

I more so mean the decision makers. They have one of, If not the loudest voices In the bigxii. The powers that be are careful not to hurt their feelings.

 

With these additions, anyone coming out the SEC undefeated will most likely be National Champions. I think it's great for college football having teams like Alabama and Oklahoma playing each other in the regular season. Same for A&M and Texas.

 

Assuming Oklahoma keeps playing at the same level and doesn't go downhill after joining the SEC like Nebraska did when they joined the Big 10. They used to actually have a proud football tradition. Now they have to pretend the school is about academics and football doesn't matter.

 

It seems more and more like this is really going to happen.

I have to believe Stoops recruiting spiel goes something like, come to OU and there's a 95% chance you win a conference championship and go to a top six bowl game every year. He's gonna have to change it up.
