From a distance I saw a jacked up Tacoma. Upon an initial inspection my thought was correct. It is indeed a “jacked-up” Tacoma.

Every now and then you see one of those 1st gen trailmaster lift threads pop up on here and it makes these 6” blocks look like OEM equipment

Getting ready to install this stuff on the 4runner, y'all got me questioning if maybe I shouldn't have gotten the JBAs. I know they just changed their ball joint boot so I guess ill be the test subject for everyone. As far as fitment from what I read all the go to tire size and off sets should work with them.

I used a brand other than Moog when I replaced mine. Him using a joint off a run of the mill Chevy Astro was a selling point for me.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
2nd coat on and cured. Looks like next week for the install. (I want it on now!) Can't get the winch I want on time, and my electrical bug is still there, although I think we got closer to a solution tonight. And my sliders are here. Prep starts in the morning.

That would be sweet, especially with the manual. We had a 97 Land Cruiser that was an absolute unit. That was our minivan phase lol. Crazy what they're going for with that many miles.

I'd love to have an 80, if I could find one that wasnt a complete rust bucket or 25k lol. I'll get one eventually

No, I definitely would have welded that spacer to the perch to make it appear “factory”

Going to see it on Tuesday when I get back (in OH right now). If there is indeed no rust and the frame is solid, I’ll probably offer 25k. Love that color.

Had an 80 in Okinawa…loved that truck. You ain’t kidding on the pickings being slim for a quality one at a decent price. Another 80 is on my list as well, so I’ve been looking.

If the road was wet it probably would have been more fun. Wasnt your diff put together by ECGS? Also, did you ever do the gray wire mod?

Yeah. The ring gear on the first one broke. I put this replacement in a few thousand miles ago. No noises or anything prior to it shitting the bed. I guess it could be the brakes or something?

I'm havent heard of the gray wire mod.

The grey wire mod is so you can lock the rear in 2wd. Normally Id think you couldnt do it without that, unless you have an air locker. Id guess more on electrical gremlins than brakes if you have an elocker
