FYI, my 2.5s came from the Fox factory with the bottom eyelet spacer incorrectly installed. I confirmed with Accutune and the wide end of the spacer should be facing forward (front) on both coilovers. Caused some minor contact with the LCA mount but nothing other than cosmetic. The coilover definitely sits in a more natural position now with the spacer correctly installed.

I gather. It's gone so many different directions here figured I'd throw in for the next poor soul led here via search looking for answers that they won't find.

There is a "Fox life" thread somewhere that would be more fitting for you

No not really. I have the fox 2.5‘s as well. It was all about rubbing, the shocks not working, messed up installs the works. Do you know brother I can’t tell if you we’re happy to help or you just think I’m some tool that you were annoyed with.

Well if you read the thread you’ll know it wasn’t hijacked we joined together because we are both having the same issues with the fox 2.5‘s. But don’t let that get in the way of a good insult. It seems to be popular way to do things here and I love consistency. Not in this case but most of the cases.

Oof you are really letting your insecurity out, you weren’t even referenced. OP stopped replying on page 4. I don’t need to read another 11 of you whining about your alignment and tire rub that’s completely unrelated to the OP.

That said I assume the OP jumped to heavier springs which is all he needed to do to reduce his preload.

You however, a different attitude will yield different results. Best of luck.

That’s not at all what you meant. Nice try at a recovery though. Actually I appreciate the attempt. I spoke to the OP. Very cool guy.

This thread has been pretty good. 98% of the people have been awesome only 2% have been tools. Not bad at all actually. Some people just feel better insulting people they don’t know. It’s actually common on social media. Thanks for your good luck. I know absolutely nothing about these things and there have been some really great people here helping. So you’re not one of them. No big deal. Have a blessed day.

Sure you didn’t. lol. If it means you won’t be back to the thread I’m good with it.

To the guys that have been helpful I’ll report back as soon as I get the cams adjusted. I really appreciate everyone’s help with this. I think I am very close to this being done.

It is then almost 12.5" wide, and just shy of 35" in diameter.

That’s really cool. I love it. I’m getting my cams adjusted tomorrow and another front and alignment. This should be the end of it for my truck. After that I’ll just tweak my shocks to find the best comfort zone. Then I can stop irritating all these people by having the audacity to come on a Tacoma forum and ask questions about a Tacoma.

I would say your alignment shop is trying to align to Toyota factory specs. For example, here is my alignment done at a 4x4 shop. Check the caster. I also have after market UCAs which add 2 degrees of caster which helps get your tire in a better position in the wheel well. I am running 34.5s. Nearly 4 degrees of caster worked for me, but you may not need quite that much.

If you mess with your height at all you'll have to get another alignment. Make sure you have that squared away before then.

They are going to adjust the wheel forward 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch per my request and then they will do another alignment. Everything should be good after that right?

Yeah. I was just saying not to adjust your lift height after you get it aligned. It changed your toe angle

You're going to be a alignment expert by the time this thread dies
