Can anyone tell me what the height would be with just 300 lbs on the HD’s or the height of the HD’s with no weight and with max weight?

Well can anyone with a 3rd gen tell me how the Dakar’s HD work like do they give you 2.75” of height with no weight and gradually decrease with how much weight you add down to 2” or does it take a lot of weight to start to decrease? Sorry for the continued post but I’m just trying to figure out what I need. I’ve called people and no one will give me a straight answer. Thanks again.

It takes a lot of weight to decrease it. I have them. They didnt drop any height that was noticeable until I had me (230lbs) my wife(115) and my 60lb dog up in the 150lb rtt in the 100lb bed rack. So the full 600lbs about. I still have them, now with zero weight and have used them for 80k miles total.

Thanks. I think I emailed them about a week ago and that’s why I haven’t called them but I’ll try calling.

Would you say you’re about 2” or 3” high with no weight now? Does it ride insanely rough? The problem I’m having is some people say the med don’t hold up and to get the HD’s but the guy doing the work said the HD’s will ride too rough and will be more height than I’m wanting. I’m so confused haha. This is mainly for looks as I don’t tow anything and I don’t want excessive rake or any squat.

If you dont want excessive rake, dont get these. That knocks them off the list for you. They dont ride rough, but ride quality is all subjective (I have large shocks in the rear, with compression adjusters). With the standard OME kit, the truck, well, felt like a truck.

The Mediums do not hold up over time with rear bumpers, I can promise you that.

The below picture is my truck right after I had the OME kit put on with the dakar hds, nitrochargers and 255 85 16s.

Here is my truck with the same leafs, but ADS Shocks and a Archive rear relocate, and 35s. ( this is 80k miles on the same rear leafs, truck 2-3 years from install)

The next thing, is if you are willing to wait for some leafs, Id just give deaver a call and get exactly what you want. They will be more money. But that is my long term plan, personally.

They haven't settled much but I don't keep a ton of weight back there. I have a factory tonneau cover and waterproof box with my recovery stuff and some other gear. That's maybe an extra 75lbs. I have had it loaded up with weight and rode great. I don't have any complaints with them.

PSX_20210730_185242.jpg My truck with 35s sitting at an inch of lift in the rear, 1.25" in the front. Have the older version of dakars which are clapped out, and running no overloads. Rides ultra plush to match the revalved front coilovers.
