Right, so oil slick run off is clearly more environmentally friendly ....

Leave No Trace. Pack in kitty litter and pack it out. :D Then they can't complain and do stupid stuff like pave trails.

I was more referring to the fact that they blacktop the road and for the first couple years on fresh asphalt rain will pull oil out of it and you run off will be contaminated but somehow that's cleaner than you know all natural gravel or something. I don't know I don't work for the EPA I don't make up the rules

Maybe they used some fancy magically charged asphalt like they do with concrete at Yellowstone? I dunno, sounds like the gravel may have been washing out from the road and they just wanted to prevent that from impacting the natural streams and drainage. Regardless of why, @Calamity_taco, the whole run isn't about being fast for most, it's about actually making it to the top and beating your personal best. The classes for each of the races are very different.

I bet you're into Daakar Kamaz trucks too. I wouldn't blame you, they're really freaking sweet. The Russians are monsters in that category.

Like it's nothing I'd personally do but watching it is like watching segments of the transformers movies but in real life.

My D&D group voted (I also voted for this) to switch days now that I'm not DMing. I am happy, sad, shook, and also glad to have Sundays back.

    More fun days.
