…lol you gotta get out more, man.

I moved to SD from Philadelphia — it’s so disgusting that it may as well be a third world country there.

Been doing a lot of Viper cuts lately and they look pretty good for such a simple mod, as long as you are good at cutting at straight lines!! Also helps ya avoid that stupid rubbing in the front with big tires.et

Well shit, I took pics of the after but my phone lost them!! So I provided a crappy unfocused pic of a 4R instead, haha...dang.

Nice, Those look great. What did you use for a weapon? I want to use a jigsaw to help with straight lines.

I'm planning on doing mine soon. Here's a visual.

Random ask. Does anyone have a Steel IFS skid laying around that they no longer want? Preferably something that needs some TLC.

I sold the one that I took off my truck and may need one for the new setup.

Thanks!! I took a couple pics of the after but they anished into thin air! I really appreciate that brother!!

    Thank you very much!!

Well if you want a straight line the first thing I would recommend is to NOT use a jigsaw blade as its very small and will wonder worse than anything you can imagine, In order to make sure my cuts are laser straight I use a 5" cutting disk (thin) on an angle grinder, and once I make the initial cut I put on a flapdisk in order to do the final trimming up to my tape line, then afterward I take a file to remove any flashing. You want to use an angle cutter rather then a bladed tool for straighter cuts. I also use the same angle grinder in order to do high clearance rear bumpers to cut the bedsides.
Also take the time to make darn sure that your tape line is correct since that is your template.

I have a bunch of stock ones but they are made of tin foil, you are welcome to have one but I doubt it will be up to your needs, lol.

Anytime brotha! Not sure if you recall but you did my tie rods for me right before (or after? i can't recall) a big trip, with a quicker turnaround and cheaper than my usual shop. probably saved my life haha.

been meaning to ask you, do you do work on motorcycles as well? I just got one, and would love to have an experienced guy do the first bit of work and possibly show me the ropes if you're open to it. Would rather you or myself do the work than a dealership, barring dealership necessities like a valve clearance check or something.

I picked up a gently used 2020 Yamaha XSR700 about a month ago, at 2100 miles. been riding it twice a week to get more practice and familiarize myself with the bike so I see the first service interval coming up fairly soon haha.

Yeah no problem I can walk ya through it. You shouldn't need to mess with valves for a while since they are a shim under bucket design so they tend to stay in spec forever under normal use. But, if you are a stunt guy and rev the shit out of it then that's another story...the longer you maintain max RPM the sooner you need to adjust the valvetrain (because you are actually beating it into submission).
So yeah I can do bike stuff as well lemme know when you are ready, I would do the first oil change at 3k..

Yeah they are a lot of fun, been having a blast on my Yamaha when I get out for a quick ride! Pretty rad to have 160hp on tap! So much power I can start a wheelie in 3rd gear and shift from there since its got a factory quickshift (you can shift under full throttle and the ECU does the rest) makes shifting during a wheelie super easy!
I might be having a bit too much fun a times, but I'm only human....haha!

I would have so many speeding tickets. 110hp I had a hard enough time to keep them away from me. Lucky for me the fastest I can go on street is like 60 with my 90% dirt tires on the payment

I haven't had to long yet but I surely don't need any tickets! I sometimes have a 6th sense for LEOs. Last week I had a feeling I should back it down and sure enough there were 2 cruisers waiting for speeders, lol.
But yeah with so much horsepower its difficult to keep it around the speed limit and I don't ride like an asshole but I still love wheelies and fast cornering..the MT10 is soooo much fun!!
I just put a medium windscreen on it so the freeway isnt like a category 5 hurricane, lol. As well as more aggressive brake pads, has Pilot soft compound tires and Im going to redo the suspension for my weight because it is stiff as hell and I cant ride it as fast because of that. Im about 50 or 60# too light for the stock suspension.
