Never bothered to see if I could reverse the linkage on my bikes to reverse the shift pattern. I learned on dirt bikes and then later rode street bikes and have had a few quads. All of them one down and 4 or 5 up. I've had a few vehicles with the manual shift and they were pull back to upshift. So the Toyota does feel backwards to me. But it's really no big deal, I rarely use it. I can see where a race bike would have the shift pattern the other way, your foot is in a better position to upshift being on top of the shifter.

Yup I grew up with the normal one down rest up. Flipped to moto gp on my GSXR and liked it much better. Took a little to reprogram my brain but great after that.

Sweet! I would have a super hard time reprograming my brain for that. When I'm standing on the pegs and climbing or descending steep rocky hills it seems so much easier to down shift that it is to get my foot under the shifter. I never was too good at the sports bikes in all honestly anyways.

I got the shift inverter wire adapter installed. Easy install.
