15 Tacoma pre runner, been having a weird roar kind of noise but didn’t even sound like a wheel bearing noise, but I replaced these so far

    front wheel bearings
    Tires
    Front shocks
U joints and carrier bearing 6months or so ago
Still having the noise / roar, heard it more when making a fast hard left turn it sounded louder doing that, I’m assuming possibly rear wheel bearings, if so how do you test rear wheel bearings? Truck has 94k I baby it,

I got new tires on today and notice it is a lot quieter but still feel as if I hear and feel it in the throttle pedal when I hear it. Almost sounds like a bad pulley to me but would a pulley make noise like that around turns? And only when going 40-60mph

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
It’ll be the rear bearings if you hear it from the back. I need to do mine

You having the shop do them? Or do them yourself? I was quoted $2500 at Toyota for the rears few weeks ago when I was price checking

mess going to buy the tool and use a press and do them myself

Almost worth finding a low mile diff and have a spare. Edit: then you can work on that 6 wheel drive conversion you’ve been talking about. ;)

Lift the rear wheels off the ground, spin them up to speed and listen with a stethoscope near the bearing area

Don’t have that tool man, spun them and didn’t hear much, but going around a hard left bend all the weight in the right you can hear it worse so I’m guessing it’s the right rear wheel bearing. Getting both replaced at Toyota this weekend
