    I'm curious if those of you in the east have boat inspections everywhere for invasive species (includes kayaks, sups, etc)?

    We "could" get to water without going through one, but if you were visiting here I'd put good money on you having to stop at least a half dozen times before making it to our side of the state.

    No inspections here; there are signs at public boat ramps asking to be sure your boat/trailer is clean before leaving, but no inspections.

    Interesting. Next time I see a post from fish and game about it I'll have to share. It's really the mussels that they are looking for and they have shown boats absolutely covered in them coming from out of state. I am not sure what sort of fines there are for trying to bypass them, but I don't think it would be something I'd ever chance. There is one that's down the hill from us that's open 24/7 with no chance of slipping by unnoticed. Even in the winter they've got a pile of wood set aside for their bonfires. It's pretty impressive.
