Had my clutch changed at jiffy lube, got it back with a broken shifter and a check engine light which they claim was on upon arrival which i know is false, check engine light is for the 02 sensor and as i went to change it i noticed the bolts on my transmission are backing out, originally i was just going to fix everything myself but now im going to contact a lawyer and jiffy lubes corporate and try and get them to pay for an inspection of the vehicle by the dealership to ensure it is safe to drive. Any advice from you guys would be much appreciatedIMG_20210724_191234.jpg

What are you going to sue for? Loose bolts? Just torque down the bolts and be done with it. It’s doubtful they had anything to do with the 02 sensor failure. I would pursue getting them to repair/replace the shifter but if they won’t there really isn’t much you can do about it. Hiring an attorney in this case will get you nowhere and the attorney will cost you a bundle and you will get nothing for it.
Hope you learned not to take your vehicle to a place like Jiffy Lube for repairs.

What I would do it tighten the bolts and never take any of my vehicles to jiffy lube.

How does the engagement feel? Any residual clutch burning smell?

I have a feeling those are cross threaded bolts and not loose….

There’s a reason people don’t trust jiffy lube for oil changes let alone clutches

If you’re getting a lawyer involved don’t touch anything. Leave it as is. If you touch stuff they can come back and claim it all on you.

Jiffy Lube does clutches??? Wow. I wouldn't trust them to move my truck across the parking lot let alone replace the actual clutch.

    Who knows what they did

Tighten the bolts using a torque wrench, replace the O2 sensor, avoid Jiffy Lube, don't bother the lawyer or Jiffy corporate.

Move on with life. Consider this one of Life's Hard Lessons.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
This is not all that bad .

Much worse when the oil drain plug falls out .
