How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

delivery window opens Monday, if my dealership was right. This has been the longest week ever, and Next week could be a lot longer!

 

Heard that! My delivery got pushed another week past the original time. It's definitely tough! Hope it gets there soon!

 

Hope your new timeline is accurate! Dealership was talking to me about my finance application and what I'm looking for as far as term and rate, so I hope that's a good sign.

I’m still waiting on our new T4R to arrive. I was worried about the chip shortage.
He said it was built and on its way from Japan.
He then said it’s at port.

Now it should be here end of August (at the dealer)

Then I see this online!!!!!

Yeah I saw this on Instagram and figured it would be my luck that my truck would be on there lol. I haven't been told that so I'm guessing it's not or maybe they don't wanna tell me?

 

I’m still waiting for mine to be allocated. Does anyone know if a truck is built this late in the year, if it’s a 2021 or a 2022?

 

For once I'm glad mine has not been built yet! Yikes.

 

Although it seemed like a long wait for me I see now it really wasn't -
March 8 - order submitted
April 21 - build date
June 21 - arrived at my dealer
2021 SR5, AC, AT, 4x4, Red LB

 

Ordered in mid April, picked it up June 25th.

 

unless if it's one in the pipeline already, its looking like it will probably be a 2022 model.

Anyone here from CA successfully ordered direct from Toyota? Ive tried 3 different dealers looking for a Cement TRD offroad and no luck.

 

How'd you convince them to put on the Pro grill for you!? Jealous!

 

I ordered at the dealer on January 4th. Of course I don't know when they actually placed the order with the factory. After they had a build date the Houston port delivery was pushed a week to July 16th. I suspect that was due to the build being done in Baja rather than San Antonio as originally expected. The truck showed up on the dealer's inventory before I was notified to pick it up. Don't know if they were hoping to leave it on the lot for a few days to help generate sales, but I immediately notified the dealer that I was aware it was there. So, got it the next day - July 21.
