I’ve done Hell’s Revenge in my ‘16 OR DC SB with a 2.75” rear lift and 2” nose lift on Falcon shocks and OME HD Dakar springs on the back. I had 285/75/16s on.

Depending on how heavy you roll - I was carrying about 400 lbs. and 2 adults - you can expect to drag your hitch in quite a few places and might catch your rear bumper cover if you take the long, rocky exit route.

    Front bumper? No problems.

I know you cant just slap on 35s. I already have a good cab mount chop, major cutting on the bumper, and know I might have to bash in the firewall. Im clearing 33.5s fine right now.

Im going to spend for 50% of the trip just in shipping. Why not get a MOAB/Vail mountain biking trip out of it?

Honestly I dont care about my front bumper because Im cutting 90% of it off when I get back. Im way more worried about the rear.

Also I really want to go through black bear pass. Im driving straight from LA to MOAB because of time restraints however, I will have 4.5 full days of adventure before I have to head back.

Right now im leaving Thursday at noon and getting to MOAB around midnight. Camping in Arches for the next 2 nights and doing Fins(maybe), Hells Revenge, and Top of the World. Then Im doing rimrocker and black bear pass for a day trip into Denver. Then going straight home the day after. Am I missing anything?

Im thinking I can get Hells Revenge/Top of the World Done in 1 FULL day, then sleep, get Fins done early in the morning then take off to rimrocker/black bear pass for the 2 days. Next morning i pick up the bumpers then come home.

Blackbear pass is a bit out of the way it’s what maybe 6-8 hours out of Denver? That said it’s overrated and super crowded with soccer moms.

I went to Moab on 125K mile stock susp truck with full sliders/skids/decked and camper shell. I beat the shit out of my skids and got a kiss from a boulder on my rear flare:rofl:...………..I'd venture to say you'll be fine :D

Just leave the trail trophies and trail pinstriping alone it adds character to the truck and shows others you use it and it's not a Mall Crawler

To me putting a large dent or crease on a body panel is no big deal !!

Revere Overland has a pretty good video of his experience with Top of the World. Here's one on Hell's Revenge.

Do not try Mickey's hot tub unless you want damage. At the very least you will scrape the shit out of your rear bumper on the corners.

I did a moab trip a couple months back and came back with scratches on the rear bumper of my truck. Also hit the sliders HARD a couple times, and scraped my winch shackle on a steep approach. Not sure if it was on poison spider or another trail, but don't take that place lightly. I dunno why people are saying it's easy there. Even hells revenge has some tough obstacles, but they are optional. I was picking all the hardest lines so that's on me. Also, I do not recommend BFG KO2's there. Even with 35's aired down they really struggled on the slick rock.

My rule is if I break anything I have to replace it with something better. So think of it as slow upgrading rather than breaking stuff. If you do a lot off offroading you will eventually break or damage something, and honestly that first bit of damage is the most liberating.

So I sent Hells Revenge and Top of the World! Great trails and tested my Tacoma and me to the limit. I had a good spotter and game out of it with no damage. On the rim rocker trail and have a beautiful camp tonight while drinking a few cold beers!
