I just went on Toyota and looked up the part number and Toyota gets $4500.00 for this thing? Doesn't even have navigation in it.

i see the unit ........ impressive

i also see at lest 5-6 outlets on the back

unless replacing same unit wouldnt the unit require appropriate ‘ harness ‘

otherwise various functions would not work

There's another thread in here and someone listed a parts site that sells this unit for 2k, so it's "better" than Toyota, but still crazy.

I got you now. I don't have a harness in my truck, as the factory plugs just pop right in, but from what I've read on a few different threads is that the idea behind getting one of these oem units is that you should be able to just use your existing factory plugs as well. I don't know if all trucks have the same wires, but that's the impression that I get.
