That’s where I am. I haven’t built the axles yet. Still in the box. I’m always in the mindset of more it merrier because I want to push the limits. I know my rack now and axles are ticking time bombs

I can’t stress this enough! Single best mod you can do to a Tacoma hands down and it all bolts on with basic hand tools.

He probably thought you meant that he should have asked you how to do it in the first place haha! Probably easier to get one from Harry @desertjunkie760 !

    Yes to the 1st one.

Scared that if I go back to the shop I’m going to spend more money. :spending:

that’s exactly what I thought. Lol I assumed that Harry needed all of the outer internals for the 934 orders.

You may push the limits somewhere. I haven't heard of the axles snapping but heard of component failures such as cv bearings, diff gear, etc. Eventually the only answer is to overbuild and go 9" and 934 in front ;) ask Harry though. They're open and honest about building it and goals you want to obtain. Nothing wrong with overbuilding as long as it fits your needs.

How many front diffs have you heard of breaking. I know more RCVs that have broken than the yota front diff. I've broke several stock shafts and 2 inners. Never a CV bearing guessing you mean the needle bearing and never have I seen or heard of a front diff. The rears on the other hand are notorious.

I’ve personally seen a chromoly +2” axle snap in half. It was mostly driver error but not out of the question for anyone else to pull off.

Yup. Installed it in February last year.
So I think with this install I may have reached full JDFab fanboy status. +4 kit, LCA tab kit, slide rack and Howe steering kit. At this point I will no longer off-road my truck. Mall status only. @kasnerd Where do we meet?

I’m not sure what I want next, the inner fenders or the steering setup. Once my current steering setup dies I’ll likely be more motivated.

Somebody posted their front gear on here when the subject came up. Can't recall who but I don't see it entirely impossible. Havent came across RCVs breaking catastrophically but mostly due to bad design or user error: seen the boot go leading to the bearings eventually going out. And by cv bearing, I mean the tulip bearing. The tulip bearing excessively plunged out at max angle and broke the housing due to lack of/broken limit straps.
