    Only if you expect to get 2.5-3" of lift.

    I just did my 2010 with 130k. I redid the front end as a whole because of age. 6112s 1st notch, LCAs, cam bolts, inner/outer tie rods, and all the rusty nuts and bolts. I still need to do the CV.

    I haven't pulled the trigger on any of it yet, but yes. Will do ECGS bushing and JBA UCA's. Just looking for the safest way to get a full 2.75-3" of lift all around (and don't want it level)

    The ECGS bushing and UCAs will not resolve the CV angles which at 2.75-3" lift will have the CV boots (inner especially) wearing much quicker. Plus the high lift angles will put more strain on the CV joints themselves.

    Anything over 2" and your driving around at nearly full droop. Rides like shit. Spacers are trash because they add the high likelihood of blowing your shock on hard full compression bump stop hits. You can probably get away with 1/4" spacers but anything bigger will eventually break something is you use the truck. No one will notice the 1/4" spacer either so no real point except for taco lean on one side and the right way would be to stager the ride height as recommended by Bilstein. If you want to go over 2" and have good ride quality, you'll need to look at a long travel setup that is designed around a 3+" ride height from the start. Stock geometry is limited and there will always be compromises with ride quality if you are trying to go over 2" lift.

    If you just want the truck to look cool, by all means, lift away...

    I'm in the process of installing 6112/5160 Bilsteins on my 3rd gen. I disconnected the sway bar to install the front, and can't seem to find a way to reattach it. Preload is at 4/3. Any tips?

    I just put 6112s in this morning. What's the issue you're having? Can't line up the linkage on the sway bar? Did you try putting a floor jack under the LCA to push everything up? That's what I had to do on both sides.

    I can't seem to get the linkage and sway bar bracket to attach at the same time. Currently have the linkage installed, but the sway bar bracket is over an inch below where it should be. Tried it the other way and couldn't get the linkage attached. Jacking up the lca didn't seem to help.

    I've only done one side, should the sway bar install wait until both sides are done?

    Also, yes, the sway bar should be one of the last things you do - so both sides should be done before you try to re-connect.

    No sway bar drop kit. I'll do the other side, the imbalanced ride height of just one new coil-over could be interpreted as sway, causing tension.

    Sway bar should go on pretty easily and is the usually first thing to come off and the last thing to go on. Snap a photo of the orientation.

    Just make sure you adjust the bump stop height so it engages before the shock bottoms out.

    Interested in getting 6112’s for 2 inch lift if I’m understanding that’s 5-6 notch, isn’t that too much pre load which I’ve been reading is bad?

    6/5 setting 600lb coils no worries IMO. Has softened up also. Those are all opinions you read. Bilstein has settings for a reason. How they will work or feel to you is another story. Bilstein are degressive shocks also.

    I got the 6112/5160 setup with 6/5 and I added the 1/4 spacer from headstrong to give me the extra .5 inch. I didn't want to deal with taking off the springs and putting on longer stud and compress it back together. You'll get 2.5 in the front and I think it looks perfect. No upper control arms yet but I'm looking to get some soon.
