I’ll try to be as brief as possible with this but running into some issues.

I have had the supercharger installed for about 1-2k miles. My truck (2017) has 70k miles and never thrown a code/had a CEL.

Last weekend I drove from Denver to Taos and was getting what felt like some slipping only on steeper inclines with cruise control on- it would hold 4th for most of the incline, drop into 3rd to try and maintain speed, then abruptly drop into 2nd with screaming high rpm’s into redline at which point I turned off cruise immediately and used the pedal. It was weird but with all the strange shifting on the third gens I thought no biggie I just wont use cruise. Happened 2-3 times and no CEL.

On monday I installed a deaver stage 3 leaf pack and I need to go measure angles on my driveshaft but they look pretty similar to what they were at with AAL’s. Either way I felt the slipping before installing them so don’t think it’s a factor/I’m not having any real vibrations.

Fast forward to yesterday and I was heading home from Montana back to CO. I put on cruise and was going up hill and the same thing happened with the weird shifting, but before I could turn off cruise boom slippage and CEL and Trac Off pop up, and I was locked into what I think was 4th gear. I took the first exit I could and got my obd reader out- codes thrown are P0741 (“torque converter clutch circuit performance or stuck off”) and P2757 (“torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid control circuit performance or stuck off”). Made sure the gas cap was tightened, cleared the codes, started up and no issues. Happened once more and did the same process and got home, it only seems to happen with cruise on and at high loads/going uphill around 79-81 mph. The only thing I have found in researching it was mostly in the first gen supercharged threads.

Anyone ever had this? Ideas? I’m going to go check ATF levels and drain and refill with new but have a feeling it’s not going to do much… I knew the increased power with crappy stock shifting would be problematic…

Have you been monitoring your transmission temps? If you’ve never changed the fluid and have been doing the mountian highway 3rd-6th dance for that long, the fluid is probably fried. I’d try doing at least a double fill and drain with some driving in between.

I know it’s ridiculous, but this truck is working HARD to do 80, stock. In the mountains, I bet your temps before the extra torque hung in the mid 220’s for those stretches.

*Dealer* changed and flushed around 35-40k and said it looked fine. So I'm at about another 30k with mostly city driving and not many mountain drives. Thanks though, I will double fill/drain and report back.

Owner's manual says not to tow above 65mph, even on a flat road. FYI.

Thanks, I am aware, I don't tow anything. Only have about 2-3 times total at my families house in cape cod to pull our boat (usually around 20-25mph on back roads to launch it for the summer). I was just trying to do the interstate speed limit without getting passed by minivans and yaris's lol (80mph), but apparently even with a SC that is difficult.

That's pretty weak, sucks, I was considering one to help highway speeds.

If you aren't in the mountains it will help for sure. Add a steep grade to the mix, some weight, and bigger tires and it's a dog still. But it does feel better on flat land both city and highway, and I'm assuming it feels even better at sea level. So really depends on where you live.

To me it seems like Magnussen changes the map to something more aggressive. no idea if that is true but glad I know about this now. It finally feels charged.

Man I'm really torn on getting this thing now. Pretty flat around here but I wouldn't expect that to be a requirement at this price point.

Oh, sorry, when you said "high load" I guess I assumed towing, but you were talking about grade+elevation.

Wonder if our ECUs have the same CC issues that has been "fixed" in recent ECU updates for other AT models (it was CC issue)? I have not had any issues. Have you taken a look at your tensioner pulley to see if it shows any signs of belt slippage / polishing ?

Yup, no issues with the belt.

Just took a drive to pick up those bed stiffeners in the thread you tagged me in on the highway and took it easy but no problems. Oddly enough now I’m getting P0660-14. Just cleared codes again and drove and nothing now. I have 1k left on my factory warranty and know a good service advisor but I can’t help but think this is related to the magnuson since I have never thrown a code before and all the sudden my dash has become a christmas tree..

It’s 100 here in Denver and I monitored my trans temps on my drive and they were around 180.

Odd. No issues here - even with towing over both Divides. I kept all my OEM removals from Maggy install incase.... ??? as to what you find.

    Thanks, I’ll keep you posted.

The obd link app said “cruise control code”… the internet says this “Error Code P0660 is defined as Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit/Open Bank 1. This means there’s a problem with the bank 1 of the engine intake manifold turning valve control circuit, which is usually caused by damaged wires or defective PCM.”

Just reset codes and nothing now. Blech

Hey neighbor, just chiming in here to get your thoughts. How are you liking the blown 3.5 compared to the 4.0 so far?

isn't the Tuning Control Valve the connection/clip not reconnected as part of the process ? The connection by the driver side firewall where the PCV valve from the manifold is ?

Yeah just searched the code here and saw way back in this thread about how it will throw that code cause of removing the acoustic valve. That is definitely not going to fly in some states for emissions so I’m not sure how that hasn’t been solved. V7 is still the current tune correct?

Thanks, yeah there are some good guys over there. I usually go to Adam P at groove he’s always cool. Maybe once my truck decides on a code for more than a day I’ll take it in :crapstorm:
