If you have the scratch, Id buy them and if you dont like them, someone will always buy them off of you. Its not like they are the stockers that I sat on for 2 months then sold.

Its very nice to not have to drive 2hrs to my parents house to work on the 4runner anymore

Made up the brackets for my trans cooler on a day off last week, and now doing the actual install

Now going to drain and fill transmission, since essentially the same amount of work as level check to add the extra fluid for the trans cooler. I also suspect the level wasn't checked when I had the radiator replaced from the ice chunk incident

I was really worried about doing the whole temp check mode thing, but it was easy peasy. 3qts drained out, so I filled up almost 4qts to account for extra volume in trans cooler, and drained off the rest through the overflow. Special thanks to @boogie3478, followed your vid on temp check mode and moved the shifter at the exact times you did in the video following along, and it went right into temp check mode.

I also put cardboard in front of my radiator to make temps climb faster and because I was worried the trans cooler would make it take even longer. It only took 7min, 25 seconds to get into check mode which was half of the time in the video and the writeup on TW lol

Nice! Hopefully your overflow plug was easier to remove than mine was.

Saw a ton of sweet Toyota 4x4s today at the "Toyotas & Coffee" monthly meet up in Frederick, MD. Hopefully some of you guys will tag along next time.

Lol this was my first time attending and wasn't sure what the turnout would be like ... so didn't want to get a group together and have it be a dud. Probably close to 100 vehicles with a good 30 or so being 4x4s.

Oh, btw, thanks for the tip about the rear wheel spacers. Spaced out the rear for my shocks perfectly at stuff. Would have been another rub issue if it wasnt for your info. Idk if thats in your video, but you should add it to it.

Awesome glad to hear it. Those 3/4" spacers worked perfectly for my rear setup as well.

The reason I dont rub with my 2.5s is because my dakars are most likely acting as a restrictor for down travel / up travel . Guess I may list these when I change out the leaf pack for deavers

Does anyone know if theres a “TW express” page? Thinking about getting sliders from NY, but not sure if the price justifies 12 hours of driving for the sole purpose of sliders lol. Also any thoughts on Mobtown sliders?

Call the shop and see if they have them in stock if you want to buy them from them. If you are buying second hand, they make a good product in my opinion.

If you dont want to wait, RCI is pretty much the fastest from order to delivery you can get.

I can only speak about personal experience, and Ive only had bad experiences with CBI. Stay the fuck away from them.

6 hours each way? Psh, worth it for truck parts. I did that for a cap once, totally worth it. Loaded up the dog and rolled out at 4am. Got to him before noon, installed the cap and headed right back home. Looooong day but so worth it.

Edit: new drinking game, take a shot every time I say “worth it”
