DRL Plug Extensions for Raptors?

If don't use taps of some sort how do you branch the line? Or are you just saying they need properly secured so they don't move and cut line?

 

Maybe that has happened already...hence the problems with the turn signals...

Inspect the tap carefully.

 

Purchase these parts and assemble a T that would be weatherproof.

Did you ever find the sub connectors? I removed my jbl amp and sub and will send you the connectors if you'd like.

@DansTacoSR5 and @caribe makaira , for SR/SR5, I thought the turn was a 3 position straight connector like is used in the taillight? Caribe, what you posted looks like the TRD turn connector, right?

Ah, re-read, Dan is Sport so TRD. I see. Not sure why he would tap the turns for grille lights but maybe it’s fun to flash? Dan, if you post some photos we might be able to advise further? I have plenty of male turn connectors but not sure how many females I have on that one because it’s the OEM side.

 

Just curious, does anybody make a plug and play for raptor lights that lights with the headlights and not DRL?

 

My harness is modular so one piece swap can do that. Or DRL only.

Sidemarker tap would be even cheaper and easier. With generic connectors I could do that for $15 shipped. But most just use add a fuse to low beam fuse in the main fuse box.

The sidemarker connector is the same as the taillight reverse light connector, hence my abundance of supply on that specifically

 

What? DRL Mirrors? I must have missed something, because that I have never heard of! It would be cool if you would post a pic with the DRL lights ON on the mirrors! Man, just when I thought I was done modifying my TRD Sport, THIS could make me get out the wallet again!

 

I currently have a fuse tap in the fuse box, but if there’s a cleaner solution, I’d pay your rate. I originally had them on with DRL, but decided I didn’t want them on all the time so flipped to just with headlights.

 

If you read again the first post, the Grill has turn n DRL lamps.

 

Ah, I see now. @Majora if you go with OEM LED headlights I can make you an all in one conversion harness. Or I could do a triple T off DRL and both turns but that’s a lot of connectors.

 

Very interesting thread. I too just ordered some raptor lights but would prefer a harness. Not to thread highjack but I have Morimoto LED headlights and instead of an add a fuse can a harness be used/made to have the raptor lights come on when headlights do?

side note: my truck is a Canadian import so DRL is always on and headlights are auto.

 

Honestly not sure the route I want to go. I like the LED headlights but also love the conversions with dual halo. But right now it's all working so I can't justify spending any more at this moment haha

 

Mine is run into the fuse box the other guy is having blinker problems. I have a 18 trt sport with BS JBL

 

I got the smoked lens ones from Unique Style Racing. I originally wanted @mesos but never in stock. I have them installed but only to normal connector in mirror. For drl function You have to run one wire through the door enter the cabin through the firewall into engine bay and tap in somewhere for drl function. Haven't ran that wire yet bc I I'm waiting on sound deadening and speakers so I just take door apart hopefully once. And I've been lazy... check uniquestyleracing.com they have pictures and install video

 

I want my grill/mirror lights to come on with sidemarker/ drl. If I tapped tail fuse would that work? Is your harness work for 18 trd sport? I'd it just the drl/sidemarker extension or it already have all the goodies to add grill lights etc for $15?

My DRL grille light harness should work the same as R4T’s which is MESO’s design. I usually tell people with halogens to just buy from R4T if that’s what they want since his is legit and mine is all custom.

 

It came with a harness and supposedly I'm just supposed to run the wires 2 there respective places . Their install video shows plugging factory connector in at mirror and running wire up to DRL lights and tapping their without any diodes but I haven't made that far yet so I really can say for sure. I know you know what you talking about so may very well be needed. I'm perfectly able to connect two wires together or watch and do whatever a YouTube video shows me but that's about as far as my expertise goes thats why I totally rely on you guys to keep me from screwing up and wasting money

 

My apologies if that came across wrong I honestly must have misunderstood. I don't want screw up my factory wiring I have been looking at getting connectors to make an extension to tap into and I thought that's what you meant. But if I could tap tail fuse and do the same thing I'll explore that route or is that not what you meant either? Did I completely misunderstand?
