...has anyone ever had a problem with people just ripping them off the mounts (vandalism)? Just curious. Seems that the very fact of them sticking up from the corners of the hood would draw negative passerby interest in them.

Most people haven't had them stolen, I want to say there have been some. Could always use security hardware to help. I've had mine for about 4 years and no problems, mine are mounting in the bed though

    Someone has.

    Someone will.

Thieves and jealousy vandals abound in some areas, but they are actually everywhere.

You can get security nuts to deter most but if someone wants it they’re gonna get it. They might not end up with something they can use…. Having to cut the power cord and then get past the 3 sets of security nuts. One on each side of my bd s2 pros and the nut that holds it to the mount.

Wonder if theirs a ditch light where the mount is integrated with the light housing itself? No mounting nuts.

Can't prevent a determined pos thief but security bolts and red locktite would be my advice. Same here, got the brackets and some Vison X cannons but I might install them high up on roof rack...once I get a roof rack.

Red locktite? You'd better never be interested in removing those bolts.

That stuff takes heat (as in MAP) and where they are mounted isn't a great place to play with fire.

While it may prevent a 'theft', most thieves would destroy the fixture just to 'show you'.

It's like owning a soft top convertible. Leave the door unlocked and maybe they won't slash your top.

There's no integrated ditch light/bracket combination that I am aware of, and I fancy myself somewhat educated on the topic.

As others have stated before I can recommend security hardware, but other than that it's all a game of chance. If someone really wants it... They're gonna get it. That goes for everything though.

I've been pondering this for a while as well. Security fasteners can only do so much and a fella with a cordless grinder and cutting wheel would have whatever he wanted in just a few seconds regardless.

I guess if someone wants em bad enough they're gonna be gone.

I’ve had mine for 4 years and been all over the country with no issues. Never bothered to put in security hardware

You gotta think though - If your avatar photo is accurate the same issue exists for all of the lights mounted in your bumper. Gimme just a few minutes with a cutting wheel and I could just zip 'em all off.

My honest to god personal opinion is that most folks who are in the business of stealing stuff likely have no idea about this aftermarket lighting/overland gear and would have a difficult time selling it quickly even if they had it in hand (it's bulky). I generally have more concern about my $300 Yeti cooler walking away before $3,000 in lighting equipment.

Am I right? No idea. :notsure:

I completely agree. For now I live in a quiet neighborhood in CT, but my job may require me to relocate back to DC at some point this year. Street parking in DC I expect someone would take advantage of the shiny lights whether they knew what they're worth or not.

All except that bumper light bar...you're better off removing the whole fucking bumper than trying to cut that thing out

Yeah... I can imagine trying to shoehorn an S8 in behind one of the C4 bumpers when installed. @Squatting Pigeon you're gonna have so much fun.

Dude just adjusting the aim on that thing after installation was a 2-man job haha. If someone stole that thing I'd want video just to see their technique
