What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Everyone needs a few extra mags ..... I think I'm at about 30x in the hopper.....

 

I haven't been to a gun show in several years. I kinda miss it, but when I think about how bad the last one was, not so much...

 

This was not bad other than prices being high on guns and ammo there was not that many people and you could actually look at stuff….

 

Can never have too many…..

All my mags are either MAGPUL or Lancer. They just work.

 

Couldn't have said it better myself haha. Maybe add overpriced bottom of the barrel AR's.

 

Jesus, a case of 38 is going to $700 right now.

 

Gun show this weekend $500 a case did see 5.56 for as low as $450 some import brand

 

Man even $500 is a ton.

 

I know, but it did seems as if Ammo is coming back and prices have went down some from the $1200 per case 5.56 at the past shows.

 

Yeah it does seem stuff is slowly trickling in. I bought some 556 a few weeks ago at close to normal prices.

 

One of the big things that has happened with this gun show in particular is the operators of the show have gotten greedy with table costs and raising sales receipt percentage. There were 3 BIG dealers who took up 3 entire rows front to back of the building 80-120 tables each who kept others in check with prices as they had thousands of guns and sold thousands each show pulled out. like I say they had Glock 19X for $850 for the ones that had them, that's $270 bucks more than I paid 24 hrs earlier. I asked the guy if he would at least sell it for MAP his reply was that is MAP and Glock is not making these anymore and they will be a collector item. I started laughing and said I was born at night but not last night. 19X's are $619-$649 normally around here which is high and some LGS have them for $570-$599 when in stock.

 

Kinda wondering if some dealers have been jacking up the prices.

 

One of the biggest gun shows in the SE is actually owned by a large dealer that bought a bunch of other shows and conglomerated them.

I used to work gun shows for a small shop. They are a rigged game, and just not worth the time and energy.

 

There is no doubt that some dealers at the shows have jacked prices up. There have been a few dealers be within reason on prices given the times maybe going up $20-$40 on guns one local shop here during the whole COVID stuff maybe had a 10% increase on some stuff, unlike the others here that had $200-$600 per gun. Plain G19's gen 3 or 5 was $700-$800 G26 $700 G30 $720 I no longer give them any business. But the one honest dealer here has killed it with sales maybe not to the $$$ of others but has killed it with return customers and has most likely sold more guns and made more money in the long haul.

I would rather give my money to the local shops if the prices are right. One thing I am going to miss is my connections here in the area after 15 yrs.

 

Gun shows around me very rarely have normal LGS prices even before covid. One table sets the bar and everyone else follows.
