I have on my 2 gen in the front a combination of 2.5in shocks with 700lbs springs and bypass shocks and in the back 2.5 in shocks.

now I always find my ride quality a little on the rough side and I was wondering if maybe the nitrogen pressure is on the high side with 150psi!?

what would everyone’s recommendations be for each single shock? Should I go a little lower in the front because I have the additional bypass shock?

Like visible in the pictures my truck is quite decked out with bumpers, slides, winch, skids aso.636CB5D6-EA1B-41A0-B1ED-52E558789FC5.jpg 7F37D4FE-BDA0-4CA4-BF49-08E5E507142F.jpgACE33509-32FA-406E-804A-C219C6FB40C8.jpg

Nitrogen pressure should stay at 150psi. The shocks should be valved to work together, unless you bought/installed them separately. If not, they are most likely too stiff and should be revalved/tuned. You may also want to make adjustments to the bypasses. Looks like you don't have much up travel in the rear, hard to tell, but that can also provide some harsh ride quality issues.

    Thanks for the response.

Not sure if the previous owner (who installed the suspension) ordered the whole kit at once or if he added the piggy backs later, but I assume he did it all at once.
So I will just pressurize it up to 150psi and be ok with it. I honestly never drove a 2nd gen before for extended amount of time, because of this I cant really tell if the ride quality with the Kings is a big improvement.
But because I am actually off-roading the car every once in a while a lot, I at least know that my suspension is not failing me (at least not as fast).

No piggybacks on that truck ;)

I would very much so assume the shocks are not tuned to work together. Looking at those shocks, they are pretty old so they are most likely due for a rebuild. When you charge the shocks, make sure the shocks are fully extended.
