How often you change the oil? I just got a DD and the Tacoma sits a large majority of the time. Started to question whether I should start changing oil by time rather than mileage

I’ve been getting a vibration around 60-70mph, and I think I may have found the cause. While under the truck doing an oil change, I grabbed one of the front axles and it moved much more than I think it should. I checked both, and each one moved at the differential end. My first thought is that it might be bad bearings, but I don’t know enough to be sure about the issue. I’m going to look for a shop that can handle 4WD diffs and front ends, but I could use some guidance about how much (if any) slop, the front axles should have. TIA

Went home for lunch so I could grab my step stool and grease for the upper control arms.
I was going to replace the valve cover gasket and lube the upper arms after work today.

After stopping at my house, I went to my new job that I haven't started yet (had to sign some papers) to pick up a drug test form.
Went to the drug test site today after work instead of doing my truck, but they stopped testing at 3:00 and I got there at 3:30.
Now I have to go tomorrow and another day I won't be able to work on my truck.

    Maybe Wednesday?

Fitted 1st gen mudflaps that I scored off Facebook marketplace locally @ auto shop for $15. Trimmed a lil bit off of front so they wouldn't hang down so low. I'm left w/ a slight rub up front only in reverse & full turn. Any body done this & remedy issue?

Thinking I can just add a way to pull flap in more twds fender. There is space between too...

Also wanted to add that a buddy of mine it getting me a paint marker that I can touch up the "4WD" on the flaps w/

    Work in progress.
Use the WS trans fluid. The OE WS style fluid is thinner than Valvoline.

Today my Tacoma towed 2 boats. I was told the boat in the top picture was around 5500 pounds but it felt heavier than that. Maybe the fuel tanks are full idk lol. On that one the trailer brakes didn't work. The trailer in the bottom picture had excellent brakes and towed well.

They are both right around a 6 CST at 100° C. Been using Maxlife in the power steering for sometime now

This was definitely worth the $70. I didn't do the tweeters because honestly I love doing stuff to the truck and want to save something for later. I have sound deadening and insulation in the entire cab (except the floor). I also have thermal tint on every window. The truck is much much cooler and now sounds better.IMG_20210727_083839532.jpg IMG_20210726_063208884.jpg
