Hello. I missed checking in at the 2K mark.
The family drove out of town to visit my wife's sister and we hit 3K20210725_195249.jpg .

after reading your comment about the hyper flashing in reverse, i tested my "tacoma lifestyle" sequential turn signals while in reverse and no hyper flashing. why are yours hyper flashing? do some brands come with load resistors and some don't? just curious. thanks...

Ordered tires for wife’s car from TireRack. Arrived in town quickly. After the 2nd day of these delay emails I called to see if I could pick them up from the UPS delivery location which is about a mile from the house. For some reason they put them in a trailer for the 2 days. Attendant asked if I knew why so many tires were being delivered. Odd, I only knew of/cared about mines (I’m selfish that way). As a bonus she rolled one of them through a wad of chewing gum between the trailer and counter.
Not sure if we’ll ever make it out of this pandemic.

The MESO Led Total Tail Stages 1 or 2 is causing the Hyper Flash on some Tacos while on reverse. But, not all Taco will do this. It is weird.

yeah that is weird. not a electrical expert by any means but it would seem meso would address this with the taillights so it's not effecting your lighting elsewhere, i.e., sequential turn signals.

My stage 1 does this. It almost didn’t bother me because it get’s people’s attention, but I hadn’t thought about the front doing it too. Looks like MESO has a fix so I’ll hit him up. I LOVE these lights.

I had the hyperflash in reverse. Emailed Meso and they sent out plugnplay resistors that solved the issue. Outstanding customer service.

Spent the last week and a half installing Kill mat in the roof, floors and doors along with 1/4 inch Dyna liner in the roof and floor. Then for the doors
    1/2 Dynaliner.
    0725211500.jpg 0724211502.jpg 1/2 dynaliner.
In the front foot well area I used Boom mat as I could side it up under the factory firewall pad and left the factory floor jute also in the fr foot well as its shaped to accommodate the air ducts. But all to the rear is kilmat and 1/4 Dynaliner. I didnt need too much kilmat for the floor as I felt the factory damping material seems to do an excellent job. Too bad they couldn't put some of that stuff in the roof and doors! Also using the left over boom mat I made liners for the rear doors. As the factory only put plastic shields on them while the two front doors got jute padding. Which I also replaced with Boommat. Any way a tremendous amount of work that will pay huge benefits over the long run in increased cabin quiet and comfort.
    This wasent very expensive to do at all. 1 box Kilmat $60. 2 rolls 1/2 Dynaliner $180. 2 rolls 1/4 Dynaliner $ 100 1 roll 1/8 Dynaliner $50 1 Boom mat $34
and $6.50 for very sharp scissors at Home depot, also picked up a leather hole punch set $14 from Amazon. Which is where I got the Kilmat. The boommat and Dynaliner came from Summit racing here in Reno. Couple rolls of dryer duct tape for the dynaliner joints. Reasonable compared to what the OEM audio will be...But man oh man a lot of very detailed fiddely work.
The truck is much quieter and the roof doors and floor sound like bank vault doors when knocked on. That hollow metal tinnieness is gone.

    Glad I did it.

Curious on your layout. Ties along perimeter or lined side by side as the floor?

I have some separating the front yard and 5 ft in from the road for additional off street parking.

I just posted pics of this the other day. No issues. I like the slight change in my install compared to instructions (looks cleaner IMO) hit the back arrow- it’s not far back

Like to add… doing this means there is no peel up to reposition like instructions say you can prior the the firm press down because they don’t instruct using it. But I agree that this will insure a better long lasting bond, just make sure you get it right the first time.

Edit: maybe the stuff I used is different. All I know is I got the little can and it’s 3m adhesion promoter 94. Esi includes the glue stick version in their tailgate gap kit
this truck was the first time I did inserts and it was actually quite satisfying
