Ah I misunderstood what you asked.
Mine sits in the bed full time, but those are the two things I do when loading the bed up.

Hey Friend, wrong thread for this but my truck came with 265/70r17 from the dealer and there are no issues with clearance.

get ouuta here with those 30" tires lol

if only we had a mod to keep this thread free from the 31/32/33 inch tire questions

(nevermind the hypocrisy of my 2nd gen in the 3rd gen forum)

Mine are running good so far, still need to deal with the spare.

I should clarify my smartass answer a little...

Many of us have spent our money, patience and time getting this tire size to fit on our trucks. Most of us have detailed our experiences throughout this thread to help others.

So when someone comes and skips the reading, skips the work/investment and ignores the experience and knowledge we previously offered at no ones expense but our own.. And then asks a question and expects someone to reiterate information or knowledge weve already shared... Simply because they didnt want "to read 45 pages of bullshit" .... Theyre going to get smartass answer 9/10 times.

    From me at least

"The answers you seek are in this thread"
    Thats my nice reply lol

    Your typical overlander mods
I’ll give ya the spark notes version of what I needed to do. Adjustable UCA’s, wheels with correct offset/backspacing or spacers in my case, CMC, and bumper/fender lining trimming.

Now if you want more in-depth information and what others have gotten away with or not, you’ll have to read the thread like stated above :D

How do you like the ridge grapplers? I’m looking into getting some and I’ve heard rain performance isn’t the best. Do they do well in rain?

Cant speak much for wet performance as ive only put maybe 300 miles on my ridge grapplers.... And it never rains here so i may never know lol

Tbh cant really attest to anything since i only have like 300 miles on them (24 of them being national forest fireroads, although i made my gf drive most of that)

I can say that... Ive yet to attempt to fit the spare... And ive got a 3 day wheeling trip in a week and a half lol

I switched from KO2 to Ridge Grappler. My RG's are much much better on wet pavement.

I've got the trail grapplers which I believe are the MT's in a 285/75/17, haven't had a single problem with rain. It's been raining for the last 2 weeks where I am and at one point got extremely bad where I saw cars pulling to the side. Then you see me just tryna get passed the slow cars while going 50mph through it, RWD only

They're decent on wet pavement. I have no complaints so far with them.

    all tore up already
would be 14.25 mm taller sidewall. or 1.425cm taller sidewall. or 28.5mm overall taller tire. or 2.85cm taller tire. also works out to 1.22" taller overall for imperial measurers. also makes your aspect ratio end in an odd number which isnt as cool as even numbers. but im getting sidetracked because we asked how much the difference is between two numbers? those numbers arent random

285/75R17s aka 34x10.5 17 are perfect in person on the DCSB. Mounted on 17x9-12 KMC 540s.

You absolutely need to do the CMC, pinchweld bend and liner cut, however even at full lock on a 2"F 1"R lift they won't hit the fender bodylines from my testing.

Needs a regear badly. Have to decide between 4.88 or 5.29. Upgraded brakes too. The rotational inertia keeps me from locking up, which means my brakes are underpowered for the wheel weight.

The de-badge makes the side shot of the truck a lot cleaner.
