That’s a great deal. Just go get them before someone else does. If mine weren’t welded in I would of snatched them up. 3 hrs is nothing.

Ive not heard good things about them either. I was thinking maybe the instal instructions might help lol.

I’m looking at RCI and WarFab for sliders right now. WarFab has 15% off this week too :anonymous::spending:

Good evening fellas! I had to pull the rear driveshaft back out of the 4runner to isolate a new noise. While running around in front wheel drive the noise/vibration is gone, so I can say that the double cardan joint is just fooked... I was trying to leave in the next few days for the drive to CO to hit the Alpine loop and Black Bear Rd. The cost of a new driveshaft isn't in the budget, that's for sure. I was looking at some used Sumitomo Encounters AT's on the FBMP, they are a stock size for the Taco tires. I'm tore about trying to get to CO in the Taco ( I know the seats will kill my back ) but I could build a simple sleeping rack in the bed and have the topper for protection, so it would be decent truck camping.

I was just dead set on taking the 4runner, it's the better vehicle for the trails w/ the smaller overall dimensions, slightly more powerful engine ( 3.4 vs 2.7 ) and the OE rear locker. It would be much tighter sleeping quarters ( with a platform inside on the pass side ) and use a lot more fuel but slightly more comfy seats. Is anyone parting out a 3rd gen 4runner? I need a good driveshaft...

EO slider install update…as frustrating as not having instructions is (thanks @hyrule_trd for trying to help), Dusty called me to walk me through it and answer questions. Unfortunately, I was at work and it was too late to call back. That means something positive with me (although posting a video on YouTube or a pdf would be less manpower intensive). It seems like whenever I get frustrated with these guys, they do something to try to make it better ($50 refund because build/ship process took longer than expected, good TW discount code, calling me). It’s hard to NOT support them and throw them business for whatever I need because these little things mean the customer is a priority, which is a characteristic that is diminishing in the US marketplace (imho). Not a paid advertisement, just some ass-in-recliner reflection about this whole experience.

Just had a good business idea…Amazon install business: a customer could pay an additional fee to have you come out and install their car/home items for them. Specialize in a series of specific products if you’d like. Get a van and get notified when the item arrives at its destination (do all of the scheduling/payment via Amazon).

Donate my portion of the profits to St Jude’s Children’s hospital.

did you get them installed? I ended up coincidentally meeting a guy from that company‘s off-road group at the meet up this weekend. He had one of their first prototype sliders on his truck. I can reach out to him if you need me to.

I just sold this 170k mile 4runner last week for a grand. If I still had it I would've let you switch out the driveshafts.
