    I wouldn't give up my guns without a fight. Our founding fathers gave us this wonderful right to bear arms to defend ourselves against threats from others and tyannical government so that we can live free.

    they didnt give me anything...my rights are inherent in my humanity...they only wrote down a rule that said Govt shall not infringe on my god given rights...if the bill of rights was repealed tomorrow it wouldnt matter the BOR never applied to me or gave me anything. my rights are Unalienable.

    Since the purpose of the 2d Amendment was to enable a "well regulated Militia," why shouldn't there be the same kind of tests for psychological and physical fitness testing that law enforcement and the military requires as a prerequisite to gun ownership?\

    The way it is today a blind crazy guy can buy and own a gun and make stupid arguments for his right to do so. Of course the 'crazy people' lobby would be [ahem] up in arms over such a notion.

    They would say things like "The problems were caused by idiots in power who created a welfare state... let's blame the lawyers and people who refuse to beat their kids. We'll take up arms and shoot people who disagree with us and have a bloody riot. That will solve the problem."
